• I want to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding a highly uncomfortable and inappropriate experience at the spa located inside The Djerba Hotel Resort. While I understand the spa operates as a separate entity, it is still situated within the hotel premises, which makes this issue even more alarming. My experience occurred when we booked a hammam and massage package. From the moment we arrived at 9:30 am as the first guests of the day the atmosphere was anything but relaxing due to the disturbing behavior of the male receptionist on duty. Incident 1 - Invasion of Privacy in the Restroom Area Before entering the hammam, I needed to use the toilet. The facilities were located outside the hammam area, near the reception. As I exited the restroom, I was unnerved to find the male receptionist inside, unnecessarily refilling already full soap dispensers. There was no reason for him to be present at that exact moment, especially when the area should have been private. His presence felt intrusive and unnecessary, leaving me immediately uncomfortable. Incident 2 - Entering the Resting Area After the hammam and steam session, we moved to the resting area a space meant to be calm and private, particularly as we were all wearing robes with nothing underneath. To our shock, the same male receptionist entered this area once again. Every woman in the space expressed her discomfort, questioning why a man would be present in such a sensitive and private area. His presence served no legitimate purpose, and it felt like an intentional invasion of our privacy. Incident 3 - Lingering in the Corridor After My Massage. The final incident occurred after my massage. Upon leaving the treatment room, I once again encountered the same male receptionist loitering in the corridor. By this point, his repeated presence in intimate and private areas was not only inappropriate but felt intentional and predatory.
