Hotel Madelaine

Very comfy and cozy hotel, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel’s bar is open until late so you can enjoy a drink in the evening, but that also means many locals come over there for long hours of drinking during the weekend (meaning the space might be crowded and loud)

There were scrambled eggs available additionally to the breakfast buffet but there was no clear information about it so I didn’t know until my last day when one of the staff members asked if I wanted it. There was one evening my shower didn’t run a very warm water but just barely warm (maybe it was due to many people showering at once)

no air conditioning in room, but there is air conditioning in the restaurant and other common spaces. (we bought an oscillating fan locally, no ac problem solved)

Maybe a menu in English would have helped…but…we were in Poland and you do what the Poles do….and it was not difficult to be understood

Beautiful rooms and location, friendly staff.

One of the loudest hotels we’ve been to. Speakers on all corridors (?!) blasting loud pop/radio music most of the day (you would rather expect hearing Chopin in a place like that). Beer garden in front of the windows, with loud people until late night hours. Then, construction works from before 08:00 AM.

Tiny room, not very comfortable, far too hot in the room without the possibility to change it (in January…), we were directly above the party room and it was incredibly loud (no option to sleep before 1 am)

We arrived at the hotel after 10:00 p.m., but they were waiting for us at the reception. The room creates the impression of "a doll's house". The room was warm, even stuffy. Breakfast is satisfactory for a three-star hotel.

The dollhouse turned out to be a sham. The most important drawback - the toilet flush did not work!!! At the hotel!! The floor in the shower cabin is icy. Instead of soap, the hotel offered one small bar of soap for three guests. A liquid soap dispenser is installed in the shower room, but it was not there. For the first time, we encountered the fact that under the sheets on the beds there is oilcloth, as if for seriously ill people or children! The mattress on the sofa is torn and pulled together with some kind of bandages. In no case will I advise friends and acquaintances to stay at this hotel!

We were looking for the place to stay before visiting Bolesławiec ceramic and it perfectly suited. Good location and comfortable hotel with tasty breakfeat
