    • Pretty castle, nice bar, excellent lunch. Would benefit from salting the pavement for guest's safety and training the staff to be less noisy.

    • Breakfast very good

    Cons -

    • Stayed room 102 for 5 nights, cleaning staff woke us up twice in a row by being extremely loud for a Relais and Chateau, dragging furniture and cleaning cart in the room below, slamming doors and banging broom on staircase steps. Noise went on from 7AM to 10AM. Complained about it the first day and kept happening the second day. Quite ruined the end of the stay.
    • Restaurant (bistro section) was a little understaffed.
    • Room was quite warm during hot daysSpa was good, but no treatment which was a bit of a surprise

We have stayed there at least 6 or more times. The Rooms are amazing but the bistro staff are rude obnoxious. So sad a beautiful place and rude people. Bistro was medium busy however we were ignored for over an hour. We ordered spaghetti so…. What a shame

Fabulously comfortable room and very helpful staff

A little far to walk to the nearest town

    10JasonPosted on: 3-22-2025

Amazing place to stay and amazing decoration throughout. Seeing the mix of the aged building and the style was fantastic and very well done. The location and grounds were also kept in very good order. It was a shame we only stayed one night!

the structure of the castle itself was beautiful and has a lot of potential to be nice

The overall the service was very basic, especially considering the price of the our stay. The idea I had in mind was that it would be a charming getaway and a luxurious experience but it was far from that. There was no one to serve us at the bar after waiting for 20 minutes, so we skipped it and went straight to the bistro. The vibe of the bistro was like any random village restaurant with slightly better food, the service was very mediocre, slow and unfriendly. The expireience didn't not justify the 250 euro price of dinner. We later tried to order room service and essentially the entire menu was unavailable and through all of this the staff wasn't even particularly friendly. While the exterior of the castle is nice, the interior decoration looks cheap and tacky. The pictures of rooms online looked more authentic and charming, and in person they looked cheaply decorated. The bed was also not great, the pillows were also very uncomfortable. The stay for one night totaled around 700 euros and the experience was no where near worth that price.

Everything was fantastic! Beautiful room, nice spa, amazing dinner and wonderful breakfast.

Beautiful castle and interior decor, electric charger for carsVery good breakfast with fresh croissant and egg station on demand also goodVery welcoming staff

    - there is not much around to do, the property is in a village , but not much space to walk.no swimming pool and sauna has to be booked. it feel like just a overnight stop B&B but then we have to pay a lot more.- the bistro is an disappointment, we ordered stew beef which taste so sweet and the meat is quite dried.

The staff was so friendly and helpful, I’m sincerely grateful to everyone. The facility is also wonderful

Nothing to complain about, just maybe hammam can be improved

It was everything we'd hoped it would be. For one night and a day, we were treated like a king and queen. The grounds, along with the buildings with the decor, were all beautiful.

It was a bit of a walk from the train station. A shuttle service would have been nice, especially because we're arriving after dark.

The dinner was very good. The room was luxurious.

The most incredible mistake happened: they gave me a room that was already occupied by another guest and it took me 10-15 minutes to find out.The issue was immediately resolved but the awkward feeling remained.Breakfast wasn't really value for money.

    9ElmariePosted on: 10-17-2024

The location was a bit tricky for public transport. The castle, grounds, and main interior was impressive. The breakfast was well presented and delicious.

The actual modern room we stayed in did not quite meet the expectation of staying in a real castle.

    10SaraPosted on: 9-8-2024

Simply beautiful! The splendor of the castle continues into a stunning bar, the accessorized hallway, the remarkable staircases. The beds were very comfortable, especially for my spouse with chronic back problems. Restaurant staff were the finest of all!

Reservations for dinner are necessary and should be suggested by the hotel when the room is first booked. It would have been a shame to stay on site and be unable to eat there.

    10IraPosted on: 8-26-2024

Gorgeous castle, with modern and building respecting design. Very clean and comfort facilities, friendly staff.

Breakfast at bistro doesnt worth value, took more than 35 min to make omelet which we cancelled due to lack of time, fruits were served in unfresh state.

    10NataliePosted on: 8-21-2024

The hotel is luxurious and sumptuous. It is plain to see that a lot of time and effort was spent renovating the hotel and the quality shines throughout. The corridors and rooms are full of quality furniture and decor. Chandeliers, beautiful chairs, dressing tables, boxes, wardrobes. It really does feel like you're staying in a magical fairytale castle. In our room we had individual robes and slippers and a free minibar. The champagne breakfast was wonderful and indulgent. I would happily stay here again and again.

We stayed on a Thursday night and the bistro was closed (it's closed on Wednesdays and Thursday). We could have eaten in the Michelin starred restaurant but this wasn't our vibe. Luckily for us we discovered that in the summer there is outdoor dining adjacent to the castle grounds in the Jardin du Commandeur.

Beautiful castle, stunning room, superb food, fantastic staff

    10YunfeiPosted on: 7-8-2024

Great Property. The castle is away from the city and perfect for vacations. Room was decorated in the old way, just what a castle room should be, elegant and classy. We also reserved our exclusive time slot to sauna facilities. The facilities are new and well maintained. We had a super relaxing time here. The in-room dining experience is also wonderful, we ordered a sea bass and a spaghetti, both delicious and well plated. Breakfast is also perfect. A glass of champaign was served, the cold plates are fresh, the farmers omelet was the best omelet you would ever have. All the food was fresh and delicious. Overall, the hotel is not cheap, but it worth every penny of your money. Highly recommended!

Beautifully renovated castle, lovely breakfast and opportunity to rent a scooter on the property to cruise through the orchards in the neighbourhood

There is a summer bar on the property accessible for anyone which takes away the “luxury” feeling (but it’s nice to have a drink there)

Good building. Well preserved. Bistro was good. Wellness area was a nice touch

Limited outside space. The tents in the garden were reserved for a private party both nights we stayed.
