THe rooms were clean and quiet and in a very good position right by the sea. The front of house area was very smart, the rooms were a little more tired but still good.

The beds all had slidy plastic matress protectors on them which not only made the beds very hot but also made it almost impossible to put and keep a sheet on (especially in the case of the bunk beds). There was no parking available and it would be useful if the hotel provided more comprehensive information (like a map) to the nearest available paid parking. The wifi did not work in our room and the staff were really not interested in helping when we reported this , we were just told 'it should be working'.

The location.

Not keen on a corner bath with a shower. Would have preferred a shower or a shower over a rectangular bath. For a superior room, the room was small but had a big balcony overlooking the beach

Beachfront location. Convenient stop before a morning eurotunnel. Great Christmas decorations

Rooms and furnishings were very old

The location, good size room and bathroom, comfortable beds.

The hotel accepts pets and unfortunately the room smelled of dog. The reception was not able to change our room (not all rooms had been cleaned because of the 1st January holiday) and offered a air freshener as the only solution. The room had a big window that could not open and a door that could open but the wind and rain made it difficult to keep it open.

In winter,the radiator stop working at night and you don't have the control of it.

Location clean and lovely staff

We have stayed once before with our 2 dogs and again we stayed with our two medium sized dogs , the room was tiny I would have thought that the hotel would have recommended a different room as we said we had 2 dogs with us and of course we would have paid more

Location is great. Hotel is nice and clean. 2 lifts good restaurant. We ate 3 times in restaurant and was excellent each time as was the service. Breakfast was ok, good selection but a little crowded.

Everything was great except on check in the man on reception visibly pulled a face and made a loud sigh of annoyance when we asked for a second room key. It really was like something Basil Fawlty would do. To be honest it was not in keeping with the rest of the staff who were very courteous and helpful. No parking but we knew that before booking and there is parking around the town.

Location amazing, front line across from the beautiful beach. Friendly staff. Nicely decorated hotel. Room had everything we needed but was very small.

Good location of hotel on sea front (most rooms are in the back, facing street/car park) plenty of space. Staff were helpful. Breakfast good.

Blanket full of dog hair, evidently unwashed. Snot in the shower. You have to make your own beds. Feels like a cross between a hotel and a hostel

Excellent location on beachfront. Clean and a very comfortable bed. As only required a stopover for one night the small single room with double bed and compact bathroom was perfect for what I required and great value for money- especially as this was high season. Would definitely stay again, but if staying longer would book a sea view with balcony as they looked great.

Good location, easy to find local car parks with very reasonable rates.

The standard room is a very small room. You can barely fit your cases in around you. Having said that, it is clean and a fan was provided.

Really nice hotel right on the beach. Great updated room and comfy bed. I'd have given this an 8 or 9 if it hadn't been for the sewer gas in the bathroom.

There was a very strong sewer gas smell in the bathroom which was just overwhelming.

The location and general facilities are great

There is no air conditioning in the rooms which is not advertised. They are very hot and they have a plastic undersheet on the bed that makes it worse. It was a hot weekend when we were there so we struggled to sleep in the heat

Great location, parking for our motorcycles

In need of a refurb in outside areas corridors etc.

The hotel is centrally located, with a secure car park nearby. The accommodation is immaculate with a large picture window and balcony overlooking the beach. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom well appointed. The breakfast was good and the staff welcoming. We will definitely return.

Location - right on beach, pleasent staff

When booking I decided to upgrade from standard room to comfort room. Only two of us staying but room was very small. Only one cupboard to hang clothes, no draws to put folded clothes in and no room for large case.

Secure parking for 2 bicycles was appreciated. The situation was excellent, right on the esplanade.

Our room was rather small and overlooked the car park and a building next door which was undergoing building works. We booked a meal in the restaurant and several mistakes were made. At the end of the meal we spoke to the head waiter and politely explained. He apologised but basically said we should have mentioned the issues at the time. However, we felt they were not sufficiently an issue to require sending our meal back (after quite a long wait initially) and have to wait again.

Huge room with balcony overlooking sea. Inside, super comfortable plush velvet sofa and chair also with sea views. Excellent bathroom, with bath and separate enormous shower. Super king bed, good linen. Secure parking at Euro 15 is well worth it.

Slight rise between main room and hall a little disconcerting, particularly when visiting the bathroom during the night. We dined in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our starters but my husband's mussels as a main course were disappointing. Couldn't fault quantity, but they were dry and overcooked- possibly the result of it being close to the end of service on Sunday of a very busy weekend. My lamb shank was also rather bland.
