    Pros +

    • The old fashioned rural design. The story about the initial owner, a bandolero (gangster) a few centuries ago. The breakfast, cold water dispenser and fridge and the location in a very picturesque village. Wifi worked well.
    • The hotel is located in a beautiful, classic Spanish village—white houses on the hills and charming narrow streets made for a very pleasant experience. However, when we arrived in the late evening, there was no one at the hotel, which left us confused and a bit anxious after a long drive. Thankfully, kind neighbors helped us get in touch with the owner, who was very nice and guided us through the check-in process. We later found out it was Labor Day, so that might explain the initial absence. The stay itself was comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the locals in Pozuelo were incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, aside from the initial confusion, everything turned out fine and we enjoyed our time there.
    • The location in the heart of the village, the historic building, wonderful room with terrace and great breakfast

    Cons -

    • Very noisy restaurant downstairs, especially on Sunday afternoon. The smell of disinfectant in the room when first entered.
    • Nothing actually, but just be aware that driving and parking in the village is a challenge. Wifi didn’t work in the room but perfectly downstairs.
    • Nothing to say here.

Wonderful place. We had a warm welcome, all the staff were lovely. Lovely ambiance, fire was lit and Xmas decorations in the bar and dining room. Comfortable bed, and bedroom was warm. The evening meal and service was great. Overall a lovely Pre-Christmas stay.

    Nothing to say here.

A charming place full of history. Lots of details in the room made it really special. The breakfast is splendid... fresh and local produce. We also had dinner the night before and it was delicious. There is parking in the town.

    Nothing to write.

This little Spanish b and b is exceptional, it’s so cute and rustic and the breakfast is superb. Staff are absolutely amazing, so kind, so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The locals are above and beyond friendly and the little bars are real Spain bars. Love love this little town, everything about it is amazing. Can’t wait to go back and see everyone next year

    Liked everything

It was a very friendly hotel. They prepared wonderful breakfast for us when they realised we didn't eat pork. Food was lovely.

Air conditioning wasn't working properly on one of the nights. Staff were v helpful though.

EVERYTHING, it was amazing, set in a beautiful Andalusian town. The property was immaculate and our room was fantastic. The staff did a great job considering they spoke no English, so friendly, helpful, and couldn’t do enough, brilliant people.

    NOTHING, everything was perfect.

Great breakfast. Hotel is very gozy and real, from times hundreds of years ago. Well restored and creates a good and relaxing feeling.

Only problem was seasonal; this time of the year there are almost no visitors, so the hotel restaurant was not open. It would have been another experience more, the atmosphere was tempting.

Pedro and Soleda were lovely, great breakfast and friendly atmosphere, nice room and super clean, terrace was a bonus for smokers, no parking problem. Thanks again for the sandwiches on the day of our departure.

Small detail : due to the thickness of the walls, I guess, the wifi was not great in the room, but a mobile access point via mobile phone worked very well.

Clean room..Our local Spanish friends lived near-by..

For 2 mornings we had to have breakfast at a other location 10 min walk away, ( up a lot of steps ). The restaurant was only open on Sunday.. The Lighting on the landing and stairs was Very poor, ( on a sensor and did not stay on very long ) this caused my wife to fall on the stairs.. The bedroom lights were not very good, ( 2 wall lights and 1 little bed side light. 40watt bulbs, 1 light in the bathroom )..The wifi in the bedroom was very poor, ( we could get it sometimes then lose it ).. The waitress and chamber maid were very good, only spoke to the manager 2 times ,the 1st time was 2 days after we had been there then2nd time the night before we departed (that was to pay him) we would not stay again..

Wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful

Would have preferred restaurant to be open as advertised

    8BrendaPosted on: 9-5-2022

I loved the history and the quirky decor

The menu was rather limited and only choice of 3 desserts. I would have liked cereal, yoghurt and toast for breakfast plus English tea! But it’s not on the coast and I guess not many English stay. The bedroom was very hot and the aircon was too cold and noisy. The hinges on the bathroom door need oiling to stop them squeaking loud! The glass door downstairs leading up the stairs needs a sticker on it warning people. it’s a Health and Safety issue. We almost walked right into the glass as we didn’t know it was a door! would have been nice having a kettle in the room

Our flight was delayed so arrived at 330am and Pedro couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. An absolute gem of a find...quirky and full of character. The breakfasts and restaurant food were superb. Very quiet and peaceful village and exactly what we were looking for. Pedro went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

    quirky

Everything shut- no bar, no restaurant, no host on site except for giving the key. In the morning an email arrived telling us to find another bar for breakfast.

We were the only ones staying. The hotel is above the restaurant. Our room was so pretty. Rustic and very comfortable. Beautiful little terrace outside from the room. Internet super. Very clean. The owner came in at 7pm to cook us dinner. When we went downstairs to the restaurant he had lit a fire for us which was so welcoming because it was cold outside. The restaurant is just beautiful. Our food was quite superb with outstanding wine. What a lovely gesture by the owner.

Nothing apart from Don’t get too excited about the village itself. Not too much happening there
