Good breakfast, nice location, placed in a park, very close to everything, nicely decorated, good linens, pillows and mattress for a good night sleep, thick walls, very sound proof. Staff was young and nice, accomodating without interfearing.

Overall the rooms do not fit a 4 star hotel. Though clean and cosy, you expect the tollilet to flush properly, the furniture not to creek in all.places, the faucets not to bounce when turning water on etc... small things that made us think 4 stars might not be a good description for all aspects. As we only spent the nights in the room, so notjinb bothered us too much, but for more demanding people these aspects could be a downside.

GREAT place, wonderful staff. We really enjoy this hotel.The location is perfect. There is a fountain in front of hotel and during the night you can hear the running water as is so calming and wonderful.

Just to mention that it does not have AC, so sometimes if you do not open the window, it is hot inside. The cleaning lady come only based on your request. The first 2 nights there was no desert for coffee at the breakfast.

The service and hospitality at Melik were outstanding - we felt truly welcomed throughout our stay. The rooms are very clean, and the area surrounding the hotel is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The breakfast was excellent: diverse, delicious, and prepared with care. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was equally great and better than anything else you will find in the area. Fontana Spa is just across the street, which made our stay even more convenient.

A bit too many decorations on the food served at dinner. That being said, the food is great - really tasty, so this is more of a personal preference rather than criticism.

We really enjoyed staying at Melik. It is comfortable, spacious, clean. The staff is polite. Breakfast was good. It is a peaceful atmosphere, close to the spa center in Borsec.

Very nice property, I felt like in a French Chateaux and the positions in Borsec was perfectly in center and the promenade.The room was very clean, warm and comfy and the bed was so soft. The bathroom was clean but could be better. The breakfast was really unexpected good and with a variety of goods (bufet) For sure I will return ❤️

Very beautiful building, like a small palace. Fancy entrance with red carpeted stairs. A restaurant with a delicious cuisine. Very clean. A peace of well maintained history. Very close to Fontana spa.

The sofa in the living room is not appropriate for a good sleep.

The building is a historical one, very nice refurbished. The apartment was nice, but not very spacious once the extendable beds were extended. The staff is polite and makes you feel welcomed. The breakfast is really special with high-quality and diverse food and drinks and freshly baked cake.

The quality of the extendable beds was not very good. There was sewer smell from the bathroom. The room was not cleaned during our stay (3 nights). The restaurant can become quite busy at peak breakfast time. Dinner is nice, but overpriced. Having to pay for spa in such price range accommodation is not good value for money IMHO. Especially given that the experience is one of a basement, not a relaxation area. Not enough light, nonfunctional sauna, relaxation room used as a dryer room, filled with laundry. Jacuzzi was nice though.

Beautiful renovated hotel in a quiet area. You feel like in a palace, we love everything. The dinner and the breakfast were delicious and a lot of interesting options for the breakfast. The stuff is also polite and helpful. Can"t wait for the next stay.

Very nice staff, we got dinner despite late arrival. Breakfast was good too. Great and comfortable bed, good sleep quality. Amazing historical hotel, from an age when this place was part of Hungary, nicely renovated. All the staff I met were local Hungarians. Full breakfast with a lot of options, high quality.

A/C is not needed as nights are cool in Borszék, but windows need to be open so mosquito nets on those windows would be appreciated (no mosquitos or other bugs though when we slept there, but could be an issue)Food is good, but certainly not Michelin star level as some reviews state, I expected fine dining based on those. Too big portions in dinner.

Very nicely renovated historic hotel, with stylish furnishings and details. The staff were friendly and the chef was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and were very impressed. Location is also very close to everything in the town - springs, spa, hiking…
