Heritage Hotel Frankopan

Stuff was friendly. Hotel is ok, but not worth that much money..

The shower drain was not functioning properly, causing water to accumulate in the bathtub. The shower holder was broken, and in the minibar only one glass was provided, despite the fact that there were two of us.

Location is percfect and the hotel has a parking lot behind the building. The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was extremely clean, and for breakfast they offered a lot of things.

On the hottest day of the year air condition was not working in the hotel. Opening the window did not help much, also because it opens to a busy road where cars and trucks ran all night. The style and furniture is quite oldschool. We got a discount because of the air condition and I would say the service is perfect, but we hardly could get any sleep and on a long road trip this was very inconvenient.

Far from being a 4-star Hotel

Unfortunately this Hotel is more a 2 than a 4 stars.Room is outdated (al least the one we stayed in) with a lack of maintenance, bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, shower door broken and hanging behind the bathroom door, bathroom exhauster covered in dust, opened amenities in the bathroom. To complete our stay with a “golden star”, the AC was not cooling/functioning (during heatwave) and the manager pretended they would call someone to fix it after hours. The only tombs up is for our waitress at the restaurant and the girl at reception (even though we had to ask twice for a fan) who tried to compensate our sleepless night no charging the dog fee.

All the staff were very friendly and professional, the town is small and the hotel is easy to find, the carpark is down the side at the back of the property.

Our room was clean and functional, but a little dated as was the whole property. We enjoyed a home cooked dinner in the restaurant, sit inside if you want to avoid smoke. Breakfast is basic, but adequate. I would class this as a 3* hotel not 4*. The electric car charger is not on site but a few blocks away in a public car park, it only operates in Croatian so speak to the helpful hotel receptionist if this is a problem.

This hotel was on our route exploring the real Croatia and it was as expected for an old building. Don't expect modern luxury. This is a traditional hotel in rural Croatia without a lift.

On arrival there was a noisy group of children in the courtyard. What we didn't realise was they were staying there. We were part way through our evening meal when they arrived in the restaurant. It became so noisy we abandoned our deserts & left. When mentioned to the staff that it might have been nice to have been warned the response was "it's OK". No, it wasn't OK for us. For several hours during the early hours of the morning there was a lot of noise from the floor above including what sounded like furniture being moved. The air conditioning was underpowered and only blowing out warm air but we couldn't open the window as the entire town smelt strongly of burning wood. The next morning we received an apology for the children disturbing us.

The location was good and in an interesting area and free parking was easy but it is very expensive compared to what Zagreb offers for the same money.

One rude staff member spoilt our dinner experience. We felt unwelcome so looked elsewhere for dinner. We checked out early because of this and due to our noisy, tired room. Check in and check out were good experiences.

Great location, just few minutes away from A1 autoput. One of the friendliest staff I've ever came across, warm and accommodating. Great restaurant with delicious fresh food.

Ogulin is a lovely town at the heart of a rural economy. The notable cave system was entered by a dramatic chasm very close to the hotel. Great location.

A stylish hotel near the town centre with clean and comfortable rooms. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening, and enjoyed our meals. Good breakfast.

Smoking is allowed in the central courtyard (covered with a canopy when we were there) where we had dinner and breakfast. You need to eat indoors if you want to avoid others' smoke.

It was comfortable and everything was close. Staff are lovely. The property is older so it w as expected that it would have older facilities but it was very comfortable for a family of 6. Breakfast was lovely. Parking was great and off the Main Street, through a small alley. Easy to find.

Good option for a night stay. Nice little town. The room was nice.

Some facilities in the bathroom were not in perfect condition, but they worked.

Bad

The rooms are old and dirty, there is no accessible access to the hotel. The toiletries are bad, there is not kettle in the room. The bad is terrible

The staff was kind and friendlly, breakfast was nice.We complained about some missing things in the bath and they fixed it when we asked.

Our daughter got a minor electricution from the one of a bare electrical wiring cables in the room. We told the staff about it, but it was not fully addressed.

Great hotel with super friendly and accommodating staff. Room was nice, bigger and taller(ceiling) than most hotel rooms. Restaurant was great (we had both dinner and breakfast). Hotel has a private parking and it's very close to A1 highway (can't hear the highway at night).

A reasonably priced hotel that offers very basic services. Very basic breakfast. Staff was.very friendly and helpful, though.
