Pros +

  • Great hotel, only a short walk from the beach. We got caught up in traffic and were arriving late, this wasn't a problem. Fantastic lady cook, we met her on her way to the beach one day and she asked if we were hungry and turned back. A few niggles, e.g. no night-lights and my room had no curtains when we arrived and it was too late to bother anyone so I pinned a sheet to the frame with hair clips. But overall a very pleasant experience. The owner and his friend even gave us a lift to Ureki when our taxi cancelled on us. Also we were lucky to spot a pod of wales hunting after a storm - I do recommend going to the beach after rain, it's quiet and you might get lucky with whale-watching ;-)
  • It's the excellent place to have a quite rest at the sea shore. Don't be fooled by the "second line" from the sea - it takes only 3-4 minutes to get to the shore by foot. The hotel is well maintained, rooms are simple but comfortable. Beds are pretty comfortable, there is a fridge, the conditioner works excellent, there are enough space for storing your luggage. Balcony is just like another room - you may relax here in quiteness and/or have a lunch here. There is a mini-grocery nearby where you can buy something to eat, the grocery has a kitchen where you can order a freshly made national dishes. BTW, there is a Cafe Amore on the beach, right on the way you get from the hotel to the shore (cousin is good enough, the service is fast). The personnel of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, they let us to left our luggage after checkout and to spend almost an extra day at the sea and provide an ability to re-dress in civil clothes :). The location of the hotel and the personal left some feeling of safety and care - this would be the excellent place to stay with children (though, we were as a couple)

Cons -

  • Checkout time was stated incorrectly on the app but I think the owner resolved it. No curtains (but to be fair I didn't report it)
  • There were no serious drawbacks, thought the shower is somewhat Spartan ))
