Cons -
- The water was barely warm. The shower did not drain properly. The wifi was not good and was spotty at best. The staff was not available during the day.The main lounge / dining room was locked during the day so there was nowhere to sit other than our bedroom. The corridor outside the bedroom smelled. The staff were not very very helpful when told about some of these problems.
- The lack of restaurant. The street-facing room are very noisy
- Fixtures and finishings in the room are definitely a little dated and could use some sprucing up.

Good value for a hotel in a quiet village. The room was very spacious and the bed was super-comfortable. Greeting from the hostess was pleasant, and breakfast was very good.
Fixtures and finishings in the room are definitely a little dated and could use some sprucing up.
Nice and quiet setting
Better value for money.Room had no aircoSoap dispenser was emptyRestaurant not anymore operating
It's pretty much the only hotel in the area, so if you're cycling the Raid Pyreneen, it's a good base. The breakfast was tasty and self-serve so you could eat a generous portion and it's nice that check-in is until 21:00 (which is longer than most hotels). There is also a shed to store your bike.
The room interior reminded me a bit of student accommodation. There were some stains on the carpet and my room didn't have a hair drier.
We were on an 1100 km bike trip through the Pyrenees and had stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in 2022. They had a nice little restaurant, good chef and friendly, helpful staff. Arette is a nice little town and location is great. It was a cycling friendly establishment and that is why we chose to come back for a second visit.
The hotel restaurant no longer exists and we found the new staff unhelpful, unfriendly and very unsympathetic towards cyclists. They had zero interest in our trip and left us outside in the rain for 2 hours waiting for official check-in time, at which point he unbolted the door and walked away without even a greeting. The one remaining restaurant in Arette was closed so they gave us a phone number of a taxi based so far away that it would cost 80Euros each way to go for dinner. His response was “I don’t set the prices”
Great clean, comfortable hotel. Super friendly hosts and great locked storage for our bicycles. Highly recommend this accommodation.
The small town had NO restaurants for dinner.
Small village , nice place with friendly and helpful owners
Poor description of the hotel limitations.
