Altus Hotel & Spa

3rd time for us at this accommodation says it all. Everything is fine for us. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The food is very good and the breakfast is very diverse, for any taste. The Spa is excellent. We will be back for sure.

The pillows are a bit too firm and bulky for me. I'd rather sleep without any under my head. But that is all I have to mention as a negative.

It is the second time we have come to this place, so that implies we like everything here, from the accommodation as a whole, the size of the room, tranquility, the food in the restaurant to the spa facilities and closeness to the Praid Salt Mine. We will be coming again!

I liked the that the hotel was quiet and clean. The facilities were well maintained and working during our short weekend stay. There was a large amount of pools and spas and the hotel has a large outdoor area. The staff were polite and there when you needed them and not in your face when you didn’t. Continental breakfast was diverse and enjoyable, there were food options for everyone. I liked their egg omelette, breaded egg and pickles cucumber and red peppers.

There were some missing/broken door plastic hook in the bathroom door. I didn’t like the smell of the spa/clor allover the building including on the top floor where our room was. I also would have liked some soap in the shower in the Chang in room to wash before heading to the pool area. I would have liked a few more children apparatus in the garden to play.

room on the third floor, no elevator (difficult with luggage :( ), room very hot, A/C not working, soap dispenser in the bathroom not working food not on our taste, unfortunatlyin the SPA: big issue with cleanness, discipline of tourist 9 which were not respecting basic Hygiene rules!!! no supervision from hotel staff, no clear rules on this !!!!

Although we booked the room for 2 adults and a child for a considerable higher price than 2 adults only, it was not prepared as such (no extra pillow nor blanket). When I have asked for one, I was asked to get it myself and even cover it myself in clean sheets. The spa was smelling really bad, not enough sunbeds, outside pool with freezing cold water. We were not offered bath robes in the room although all other guests were. At the departure, the reception lady did not greet us or thank us for our stay. Very poor services, very poor cleaning. Very expensive for this poor quality.

The room and the entire hotel was clean. The spa was not crowded and we got all the necessary things to have a great weekend.

There was a nice pool with salt water and a nice jacuzzi. The spa facilities are nice. The hamam has a nice vibe.

The shower did not have a sewer or a door, so the water was all over the bathroom floor. Therefore, the bathroom door was swollen.

It's a nice hotel with a good restaurant, nice spa facilities and decent rooms.The food at the restaurant was tasty and well cooked and the staff very pleasant. The Spa and pools were clean, well maintained and up to temperature, with places for both adults and kids.the room was well kept and furnished with all the necessities, but on the small side.

The rooms had a problem with the humidity - in our room there was a dehumidifier that ran constantly and extracted large amounts of water during our stay; also the AC controls did not work , it seemed like the temp was controlled per the entire hotel and during the evening it was very hot in the room.The bathroom had one of those walk-in showers that meant a lot of water splashed and got all over the bathroom floor and took a lot of time to dry out.The restaurant was understaffed, most of the time only a single waiter , which meant long wait times to order, deliver and get anything else extra if you forgot when ordering.Minor nit-picks in the grand scheme of things but none the less detracts from the overall experience.

unfriendly staff exception one Girl from the reception and one lady from the kitchen , the airconditioner very noisy, smell mold în the dining room, there are no separate towels, slippers and bathrobe in the room for the spa. În the shower the Water going in the whole bathrom because of wrong construction.

location is ok. nearby restaurants (2-3 mik walk) with good food which are better than their own restaurant. breakfast ok.

the staff was not friendly (maybe to Romanian guests?), had to insist on getting information and the receptionist was quite upset on us asking about the spa, the breakfast, how to reach the room, spa etc. the receptionist was visibly upset because we asked for slippers and a robe for the spa.

Nice and clean, in a good location, far from the crowd, but close enough to the mine so you don’t need a car to approach it.

The full bed is pretty narrow, barely had 130cm. The bathroom gets flooded after a single shower, and the ventilation of it works while you are in the room, which makes its drying quite impossible. The steam sauna was often too cold to be a sauna , the personnel seemed bothered when asked for information and even thought it’s a short walk ( less than 15 minutes) to the salt mine the road there is very busy.

Amazing amazing SPA. Really clean. Nice staff. Dinner (a la carte food) really really tasteful and not very expensive for the quality of the used ingriedents. Best gulaș we' ve ever had. The location, landscape in the back it's beautiful. The hotel în itself it's nice.

Rather poor breakfast. Cheapest coffee ever. No pastries. No jelly/jam. Poor cereals. No muesli. Low quality yogurt, tea, juice.They should definetly improve breakfast. It shouldn't be too hard doing it. At 9.30am they stop serving it and start cleaning while you're at the table still.

Nice location, ideal for a 3-4 days long relaxation. The salty pool, sauna, steam are maintained well, the restaurant offers tasty food, maybe a small gym could improve still the overall sensation.

Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. It was very clean and organised. You can access the SPA very easy from your room as it is just downstairs.

Maybe that there isn’t a kids menu, but the staff has offered to help us and split a meal in two days

Nice clean room, nice clean pools,( 3 indoor pools 1 for adults, 1 for small kids and a salt water pool and an outdoor pool), many places to visit in the area, restaurant portions big enough for 2 adults.

No soundproofing. As the hotel is located roadside one can hear every passing car during the night. Garden side rooms might be quieter. Soft mattress and lumpy pillows . Some of the staff need to learn how to smile.

The spa area was clean and very nice, very hot inside, maybe a bit too much chlor in the water. The rooms are nice, the bed comfortable and the breakfast very rich. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
