Combining historic substance and modern architecture, the ARCOTEL Castellani Salzburg is located in green surroundings, a 15-minute walk from the center of Salzburg. Pros +
- Close to central attractions but removed from crowds. Very nice staff and atmosphere for price.
- The hotel was really nice about holding on to our bags after we checked out and before check in so we could go explore freely!
- Had open outdoor areas to relax and our room backed up to a creek and tree covered area so it was very quiet and relaxing.
Cons -
- No fridge or way to have breakfast in room Hotel breakfast 22 euros and not worth it. No one takes room number at breakfast making you think included. It is not so had surprise bill at check out (obviously, we should have asked).
- Our room was in an annex building. Hotel main building is nicer.
- The bed was essentially two single mattresses stuck together so there was an annoying split down the middle and the mattress caved in a bit
