Perivolas Hotel

Pros +

• The location is perfect, close enough to the centre of Oia to walk in easily but far enough away to be incredibly quiet and peaceful. The views are incredible - the view as you walk through from the car park made us catch our breath in awe. Id seen all the photos but nothing prepares you for that caldera view. We stayed in a junior suite, which is one of the more entry level rooms but still had a beautiful terrace area outside our suite with loungers and a table and chairs. Service from all staff we encountered was exemplary, from helpful and fast responses to queries before our stay to getting us probably the best sunset view table in the restaurant that they organised our reservations for. We especially enjoyed the hospitality from Julia at breakfast. Food at breakfast and the one dinner we ate at the hotel was absolutely delicious. The pancakes were some of the best I have ever tasted (and I am a bit of a pancake connoisseur!!) I highly recommend having at least one dinner in the hotel restaurant. The main infinity pool is hard to beat and I would find myself staring out at the view rather than reading my book!

Cons -

• I think that the room was lovely but a bit simple for the cost (although I think that may be partly due to the overall aesthetic of the hotel). The bathroom was very small again for the price point of the room, however, you are paying for being in Oia and for the absolutely stunning views along with impeccable service and peaceful surroundings.
