    • It was my second time staying at Speires and, just like the first time, it was a great experience. It is a little jewel on a lovely island. The silence and peace that you can find there are truly wonderful, but it's very close to the main parts of the island and a ten-minute walk to the beach, so there's nothing missing. Alexandra and her mom are very welcoming, always ready to help and fun people to talk to, on top of it all. I will surely go back!
    • This was my second stay at Speires Suites, first time I was travelling solo and this time I was with a friend. We each had our own rooms and each was delightful with an outlook out to sea. Alexandra is a terrific host, and great fun. She is also very caring about cats and told us how one of the kittens was in the process of being adopted by an Italian woman. I loved sitting having breakfast on the covered patio area which was extremely attractive; the grounds are very well kept with many different kinds of cactus and other plants well-tended in large pots. Both our rooms were spacious, and attractively furnished with white linens. We really enjoyed our stay.
    • Location was perfect with gorgeous views over the island and down to the port. It was a pleasant walk over to Livadi beach or down to the Chora restaurants although each involved an uphill return walk. Alexandra is a great host and we loved her commitment to her animals - she has even found adoptive homes for the kittens which are welcome around the hotel. Breakfast is lovely with a great choice and all freshly prepared. The rooms are all attractively designed, some with lounge areas others not but still perfectly nice. Great to be picked up and dropped off at the port with no additional costs.

    Cons -

    • I can't think of anything I did not like.
    • A bit pricey, but given what’s on offer perhaps to be expected. But breakfast there did feel expensive, so that is probably the only improvement I would suggest they consider.
    • The view from our balcony wasn't great, however we did chose a room with a garden view rather than a sea view. Having said that our garden view was fundamentally a boundary wall.

Absolutely gorgeous place, lovely rooms with a balcony view over the bay that was exceptional. The whole property has been designed beautifully with a stylish aesthetic and calming colour palette. It really is a step up from your standard accommodation. Alexandra and her staff were lovely, really helpful and accommodating. Iraklia is a stunningly beautiful place and the only thing we would change would be that next time we’d stay much longer. Highly recommended.

A beautiful property which certainly has an up market feel to it. Our room was extremely spacious and well appointed and had all the facilities you would require for a perfect stay. The communal areas are well laid out and have a relaxing feel to them and the staff extremely pleasant and polite. Breakfast was adequate with sufficient options to ensure a good start to the day. The collection and drop off service to the port is a real bonus as the property is about an 800m walk away from the port, some of which is up hill. The property is also ideally located to visit Livadea beach which is the best beach on the island.

The view from our balcony wasn't great, however we did chose a room with a garden view rather than a sea view. Having said that our garden view was fundamentally a boundary wall.

Wonderful setting overlooking the Aegean (and a spectacular view of the sunset,) very welcoming and helpful proprietor, and a very clean comfortable room! Great homemade Greek breakfast! We recommend highly!

Perched on a hill, guests have to be in good shape or rent a car or bike.

The rooms were comfy, well designed, the bed super comfy. Also the location is great so you can walk to Livadi Beach and to the Port Beach. Highly recommended!

Wonderful location and comfortable rooms. Alexandra and Markela were just the best hosts. The bathroom is lush, with beautiful fluffy towels and a big walk in shower.

    No complaints!

The whole place is very well thought out with the guests comfort in mind. The rooms layout, the comfy beds, the pillows…

Extremely kind staff, very relaxed, always to accommodate our needs. Super super clean room and important for us, they were environmental conscious.

    Everything was perfect

The breakfast was wonderful. Alexandra was an amazing host and the room was incredible with a mind blowing view. The island itself is delightful, and less touristy than some of its neighbours.

We could not have been better looked after by Alexandra and Markella. After a swim from the delightful beach by the port, a highlight was sitting on their terrace in the evening overlooking Iraklia and enjoying a drink. Everything was peaceful. We'll be back, no doubt.

warm Greek welcome from Alexandra, delicious breakfast, stylish decor, staff….couldn’t fault it

    not staying another night !

I could not have chosen a better place to stay on my first visit to Iraklia. Alexandra met me at the port and took me straight to my room which was tastefully decorated in shades of white and had a nice balcony at the back of the property, overlooking the field and property further up the hill. I immediately felt at home with a coffee sitting on one of their two comfortable settees overlooking wonderful greenery, the village, and the port. It was mesmerising watching yellow butterflies fluttering amongst the trees and the vines. In the evenings I could sit on a raised patio and watch the sunset over Paros with a very nice glass of gin & tonic and some delicious herbed peanuts. All the staff here are delightful, and I must particularly mention Marchella (please forgive the spelling) who became my Greek teacher for the week and put up with my dreadful pronunciation always with a smile and helpful correction! There was also terrific advice available from Alexandra and Marchella about walks, beaches, and restaurants. It does involve a walk uphill from the village so is less suitable for anyone who might struggle with walking, but I could not recommend anywhere more highly. Thank you for a truly magical stay on your beautiful island!

We stayed at Speires on our honeymoon. It is in the port village of Agios Georgios on Iraklia but just above the centre, so it has a lovely view and is beautifully quiet. It is a short walk over the hill to the lovely Livadi beach. Speires offers a free transfer up from the port. We enjoyed the hearty complimentary breakfast on the terrace (the staff were very accommodating of my dietary requirements) and had a lovely drink at Speires’ wine bar one evening. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a particularly nice bathroom. Alexandra was incredibly welcoming, too. We loved it and would highly recommend Speires and Iraklia
