Everything first class

Good location for an overnight break on the journey home from Austria. Large clean hotel a little “canteen like” at breakfast. No restaurant on the day we went but dining options directly next door.
The hotel facilities were pretty good and the rooms were clean and well soundproofed. The bar was quite full and lively, but nothing could be heard in the rooms.
Misleading Room Advertisements and Poor ServiceWe had a very disappointing experience at this hotel due to false advertising and unprofessional service. We booked a "room with balcony and lake view" that accepted pets, carefully selecting the upper-floor suite with an enclosed balcony (as shown in the photos) to suit our needs. However, upon arrival, we were given a ground-floor room with no balcony and direct access to the communal garden—completely different from what we booked and paid for. When we raised this issue with the receptionist, we were initially told no other rooms were available. Only after pushing a second time did the receptionist check availability and offer another option. Unfortunately, their attitude was blatantly rude, speaking aggressively in German, and even asking for an extra €60 (aside from the 176€ we had originally paid already) for a standard first-floor room with an enclosed balcony—still not the suite we had reserved. This experience felt like a bait-and-switch, compounded by poor customer service. The hotel’s failure to address their false advertising or provide a proper resolution was unacceptable, especially for a property claiming a 4-star rating. A 4 star rating is not only about the commodities and glamour - the service must also be up to standards. If the hotel had owned up to their mistake and offered a legitimate upgrade, this could have been resolved amicably. Instead, we left feeling cheated and disappointed. We travel extensively in Germany, but we will never stay at this hotel again.
Breakfast was excellent, Wellness area a bit small during the winter, the outer area is not really used, the lights at the natural pool were off.
The room an beds are comfortable, but the blankets are very small. In the winter they could change the blankets into larger ones, for an pleasant an warm sleep.
Very nice breakfast room
Tables had already “reserved” signs at 7 am (opening hour) but people didn’t show up till hours later. These tables were the one with lake view. Not fair to the early birds!
Super friendly staff, excellent service
Smokers at the entrance so below my room
Wonderful buffet breakfast with homemade jamsLocation overlooking the lakeThe saunaWill definitely come back
Ntr
The sea view is such a soothing experience. The rooms are spacious as are the amenities. The staff is warm and welcoming, always with a smile and very helpful.
The mattress was just a bit too soft for my taste.
top floor room with balcony overlooking the lake – perfect view
Pros:- Relaxing Spa- Quiet location- Friendly and helpful staff- Clean and spacious rooms- Nice lake view from 1st or 2nd floorThe location of the hotel is very quiet and nice. You can do a 4km walk around the lake. There is a decent brewery nearby, to get some lunch or dinner. The Spa area is quite nice, but you need to request robes at the reception. There are no lockers to leave your things or change in there.
Cons:- 40€ per day for the dog (nothing included)- Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast area- No fridge or phone in the room- Early check out at 11.00 AM- No partition on the 1st floor balcony, you can see other guests and they can see inside your room- Only 1 working key-card to access the room- No robes in the room (available upon request)My wife and I stayed there over the weekend. We had a small Maltese dog with us. We booked a lake view room, which is already 60 euros more expensive than a standard room overlooking a parking lot.We were told that “dog section” of the rooms is only on the ground floor with the view on the construction side or trees (still “lake view”). We could have paid 15€ per day for the dog staying on the ground floor. To stay on the 1st or 2nd floor we had to pay 40€ per day for the dog. It seems a bit excessive. There was absolutely nothing included in this price, such as dog poop bags, bowls, treats, dog bed, which we normally receive from other 4 and 5 star hotels for much less.On top of that, dogs are not allowed in the breakfast area, so we had to eat breakfast near reception and do multiple trips to get food, cutlery, drinks ourselves. It has never happened to us in another hotels.I understand that dogs cannot approach the buffet, but why cannot they stay by the table? Most restaurants nowadays allow dogs inside. The breakfast was good, but the variety was very limited. Crossaints were the only pastry and they were at least one day old. There is unfortunately no fridge in the room to store anything. There is also no phone in the room to call reception. You can only get one working card for the room. We requested another, but it kept deactivating.
Nice and spacious room. Nice hotel in general, good brekfast
It was under renovation so I cannot give a higher vote. But I think once renewed it will be better for sure.
Room very good size. Requested, and got, a room with facilities for people with mobility issues and the bathroom was superb. Immediate access onto the reservoir / lake with a nice walk around it---approx. 5 Km.
There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they have their own brewery nearby which serves typical German pub grub i.e schnitzel and fries. Essential to book on Saturday evenings.
nice room and garden access.
no bath robe in the room. we got granted late check out at noon, but weren't allowed to use the sauna anymore. also staff at breakfast not very friendly....
Well worth the money paying an extra !0 Euro, in my opinion, for a lake-view room.Very nice spa and breakfast.
Strictly speaking, the hotel does not have a dining room, contrary to booking.com website, although there are dining opportunities immediately next door.
Location is great, room is spacious and the staff is great
The spa opening hours are strange. There is no swimming pool and it’s a bit pricey for what it is
amazing location
the restaurant/brewery was fully booked (we didn’t know/think about booking). we waited for a drink more than 30 min.
quiet location close to forests and lake for walks
quite dark inside , lighting was bad
