Pros +
- Location and valet
- Confortable rooms, great staff, superb breakfast and very nice location.
- The hotel was beautiful in a gorgeous location. The restaurant was very good as well - both dinner and breakfast were excellent. But most of all being on the water in a small town was a treat. Visiting the antiquities nearby was why we came and we were thrilled by it all.
Cons -
- The location and valet team were the only redeeming parts of this stay. Everything else was a letdown from the moment we arrived.Customer service was terrible. They insisted on collecting passport numbers from everyone in our group—including the kids—just to activate Wi-Fi, which never worked. At 11:30 PM, when we were hoping to wind down, I had to go back to the front desk, only to find they had entered everything incorrectly. In the middle of July, our room’s air conditioning didn’t work. When we informed the staff, the response was essentially “too bad, someone can fix it in the morning”—even though we were checking out the next day. No offer of a fan, no apology. The room was unbearably hot and humid. We couldn’t sleep until around 4 AM, and when I asked for a late checkout, they flat-out refused. To make things worse, the beds were rock hard and the power went out in the middle of the night.Breakfast was forgettable at best. When checking out, I asked for my car and was told valet would be notified. Twenty minutes later, I went outside and found out they had never called for it.If you don’t speak Turkish, good luck. I’m Turkish-American, so I could navigate the situation, but if I weren’t, I’d have been completely stuck.Truly a frustrating and uncomfortable stay. I will not be returning—and I strongly suggest others look elsewhere.o
- Wi-fi was quite weak.
- drinks : too expensive, but this is Turkey

Wi-fi was quite weak.

location : perfect staff : friendly but problems to understand English, except Manager at reception desk
drinks : too expensive, but this is Turkey
Amazing location, right on a small and narrow strip of coast, lined with small restaurants, two narrow streets and a handful of hotels and guest houses. We were quite surprised! We had a good view from the bedroom, and the breakfast was enormous - everything you could imagine eating for breakfast and then some. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful, good for a break from cities and busy tourist sites. The ruins of Assos are at the top of the hill behind the coast.
The road down the hill to the coast is very narrow, steep and winding, and a bit unnerving but it gets you there!
Breakfast was good, typical Turkish breakfast, liked all the fruit, eggs, good tea, plenty of cheese & olives & some hot items
Bread not fresh, needed to be toasted
Large room, 2 shower and toilet and a bath tab next to bed. View from window also nice. Lobby is interesting and sun beds in front of beautiful Aegean sea.
Music from in front of hotel stars at 8am, wish bit later
We loved the property; it had beautiful decor, friendly staff, and excellent location. Out room was spacious and comfortable. The crew was exceptionally attentive and courteous, always ready to assist with a smile, making us feel truly welcomed.
Great room, friendly staff outstanding location, special hotel
“Assos Kervansaray Hotel” is situated on the beach of Behram in the region of Ancient Harbor. The area is very picturesque and nowadays hosts some old buildings, which are hotels and restaurants. On the hills behind them are the ruins of Ancient city of Assos, where Aristotle established his First Philosophical School. The Hotel is absolutely good choice for sojourn because it proposes to the tourists all modern facilities in the rooms as well as swimming pool and private beach. The restaurant of the hotel is one of the most qualified in the region with rich menu and direct view to Lesbos Island. Don't worry about the parking place - the staff of the Hotel is very kind and will park your car absolutely safe.
the property is the best in its surroundings withan excellent location and a good restaurant directly by the sea.
The staff though friendly doesn’t speak a word non-turkish. The hygiene is very rudimentary specially with a serious problem of flies over breakfast buffet and tables.
Great hotel full of character, in a small harbour location with pool and beach club. Really close to all the historic sites but get there early as really hot by 11.00.
Historical place
Air conditioner, shower didn't work properly.
Good location. Parking is a big benefit. The beach is small, but enough. Personal is very polite and friendly.
The property had a luxury feel with a grand foyer in a beautiful Spanish style. We had a sea view across the rooftop of a cafe. The reception staff were helpful and patiently arranged an online bus booking for us late at night.
The cafe area was noisy although the double glazing helped and the noise settled in the evening. There was no cereal or yoghurt for breakfast. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.
- great location- old style building- helpful hotel team- great view
- if you don’t speak Turkish, it can be a challenge- dinner food was OK
Very nice sea view
The room was very small for a family with child. It's ok for two adults.
I must also mention that the interior of the room was quite nice, with a modern design featuring mostly white colour and wooden elements. This gave the room a warm and cosy feel, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor.I would like to add that one of the positive aspects of this hotel is its location. It is situated on the first line of the sea.
I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, I must say that I was quite disappointed with my experience. One of the biggest issues I encountered was the lack of soundproofing in the doors, which meant that noise from the hallway could easily be heard in my room. This was particularly problematic on weekends when the lobby was quite busy with loud guests, making it difficult to sleep.Additionally, I was also disturbed by dogs barking during the night, which further disrupted my sleep. This was quite frustrating as I had hoped for a quiet and peaceful stay.Another issue I encountered was the sauna, which was advertised as a feature of the hotel. However, upon visiting the sauna, I was surprised to find that it was only heated to 45 degrees Celsius, which is far below the standard temperature for saunas. This was a disappointing experience and I did not find it relaxing at all.I also wanted to mention that I had issues with the wifi in my room. Despite the hotel's claim of having wifi available in all areas, including the guest rooms, the signal strength in my room was extremely weak, making it impossible for me to connect to the internetOverall, while the hotel may have some positive aspects, such as its location on the shore and amenities, the lack of soundproofing and the disturbances during the night made it difficult for me to enjoy my stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and restful experience.
The location is very nice, as well as the building.
No WiFI during the entire stay of 4 days. The did not managed to repair it. The service was kind and friendly, but did not speak any foreign language. Only one of them spoke english, but this is far not enough, because he was not all the time there and when he was, he was occupied at the reception. No coffee machine or possibility to get e descent cup of coffee. The only choice was turkish or instant coffee. The breakfast was fresh and tasty.
Amazing location in a really lovely village
The position was great and the staff at the hotel were really accommodating. The food at the restaurant was also really tasty.
