Hotel Admiral Lugano is located in the Paradiso neighborhood, within walking distance from the shores of Lake Lugano and the San Salvatore funicular station. Guests can enjoy free access to the indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. The modern rooms feature a minimalist design and come with a flat-screen TV, mini-bar, and air conditioning. The private bathrooms are fitted with a bathtub, hairdryer and free toiletries. Free WiFi access is provided throughout the property and guests can also take advantage of a free digital newsstand. Breakfast is available every morning. Within easy reach are the casino of Lugano (0.9 mi) and the casino of Campione (3.7 mi), as well as many shops and well-known restaurants. The Swissminiatur Park, showing the most picturesque sites of the country at a 1:25 scale, and the Modern Art Museum are also nearby. The breakfast is very nice.
Exceptionally located. Very convenient to public transport (both bus and train). Excellent breakfast.

I reserved 2 room. Both our rooms were terrible. It was so cold we could not sleep or shower. There was water dripping out of the ceiling. I was charged an extra $93 on arrival for an extra guest. I should have been refunded that money.
Prepared breakfast items need to have ingredients identified for them. There were numerous egg dishes, quiches, fritattas, and such which had ingredients that need to be named. Juices were never cold. Potatoes and 'warming' dish items were always cold.
The hotel is old, rooms rusty, hallways gloomy like old hotel, staff cold, hotel pool hours not respected - was always closed and when we asked front desk they just shrugged it was closed. Getting in and out of the shower was a safety hazard.

Average location

The location is great, room was ready at (early) arrival, it's very clean and has all one needs. It's not a "feel good" wellness place, despite the pool and treatments offered. Some parts have clearly not been renovated and these minor defects show .

My harrying overheated after a minute, but no solution was offered since the only two extra hairdryers were already lent to other guests. Big minus on a chilly day at a 4-star at this price. Maybe get e a few more extras or repair the ones in the rooms?
