Bad place, Look for another Hotel around, don’t waste your money

I'm extremely disappointed with the housing conditions. The place is filthy, with a foul odor that’s unbearable. The management's behavior is unacceptable, and their communication is rude and unprofessional. Save your money & look for another place nearby

The restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming and the bed was comfortable.

You could smell the drains when you opened the bathroom door only.

Scruffy place

Booked this place using booking.com due to the bad weather for camping. It is the next best thing after sleeping in a puddle, but it is not something you would choose knowing what this place looks like.

Ver far, you have to walk 20 minutes from bus stop on the main road, no market no shop nearby, it is in a desert, this should be removed from booking.com, very crude staff

I liked the parking lot. Since people avoid this place we could park wherever we wanted.

First of all, this is not a hotel, not even a motel. DO NOT fall for the pictures! It's a bunch of tiny rooms stacked next to each other and on top of each other. If you are looking for pleasant accommodation in the area, then don't even go close to Hotel Gex, especially if you are with your family. If you're traveling alone and only need a room for the evening, don't stay here either, because the price is far from the quality. The rooms are so tiny you cant even take 2 steps in them. The toilet is smaller than on a Boeing747, and the canal smell is continuously coming up, making the whole room stinky. VERY stinky! VERY VERY STINKY! Since the room is so small, it has a tiny little electric heater in it. It functioned well in 15 degrees outside, but I'm not sure it can handle the harsh winters since window and door isolation is very poor. In the toilet you found a half and a quarter rolls of paper, it was disguisting to think about who used them last and how... To be honest, after experiencing the total impurity and stink of our cell, we decided not to try the kitchen... sorry.. we were not that brave. Also: No mini fridge, no water, tea etc.The room is not cleaned every day properly (or at all)It is expensive and you can compare it to anything: it is pricey! Dim lights inside. There is no lamp on the ceiling, there is one by the mirror and two by the bed.They don't even sweep outside, between the rooms... a cigarette butt was just in front of our door for two days, I didn't touch it, it was not my task, I'm glad my two-year-old didn't touch it either. Long story short, NEVER GO THERE unless you are a masochist. The place reeks, and you feel like sleeping in the sewers of Paris. (The attached picture shows how much they pay attention to details.)

The location was excellent and the staff were very welcoming. It was very good value for money.

It was very hot in the room and small for 2. Asked to check in earlier, were refused.

Reception was a building site so no breakfast available. Very tired facilities and as others have said the floors and beds creak VERY loudly

Staff was really nice and helpful. Asked them about bus and tickets, although they were not knowing too much English, they tried and communicated and provided the information.

Hotel itself is old construction, I was on ground floor, and anyone walking and talking on 1st floor was disturbing a lot. Was difficult to sleep of someone was walking or talking outside or on floor a ove you. No sound proofing. But this is what you will get in the low price.
