Pros +
- Nice, clean rooms.
- Very clean. Simple, well-thought-out room with pleasantly neutral decor (no pictures). Controllable climate.
- There was so much to like about this property. The location was spot on. Parking adjacent to the property costs 6 CHF per day (very reasonable), but isn't always available at peak times (it is the railway station car park). I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and had no problem parking, but when I left mid afternoon on Monday 2 cars were waiting for my spot. The hotel was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the small bathroom was clean and perfectly adequate for a night or two. The shower was amazing! The self check in was smooth, although I personally would like to see a little more cover over the key pad where you key in your access code outside the building.Secure wifi was appreciated, as was the water in the room. Only a coffee machine (no kettle) which suited me fine, but 3 coffee capsules and only 1 creamer was a bit odd. I just went downstairs and bought some more creamer though. The train station offers a couple of decent take aways and there are several restaurants nearby. There is a supermarket underneath the hotel which is open 7 days a week from 6am - 11pm.
Cons -
- Remote check-in ok. Prefer someone in person onsite in case of questions or needs.
- A bit of street/train noise that admittedly goes with its location (the railway station). We do not like “canned music” and that seemed to fill most public areas.
- The one issue I had, was after specifically requesting a quiet room, I was put directly above the Coop supermarket. This meant I was plagued by the noise of the constantly opening and closing sliding doors. Aside from that the room was actually quite quiet but the noise was annoying.

Very clean, comfortable beds.Right next to the train station.
Easy access (self automated check in), room setup and cleanness. Convenient parking. Well isolated rooms (although railway station nearby). Good Breakfast at the nearby bakery, very friendly personnel.
Elevator missing
Central location, newly furnished room, decent size, parking next door
noise from the train station, room heating via aircon unit in the room dries the air completely, difficult to sleep because of these two conditions
Easy (automatic check-in),breakfast (bakery next door, friendly).
Could be slight cheaper…5..10% less as the breakfast is outside and personnel is reduced.
The room is large with plenty of space and a comfortable bed and lovely big shower and right next to the train station for access couldn't hear the trains either
The design, the equipment, the on-call availability, the cleanness
my 1st level room window was in front of the train station -> direct light from the street in front of my window and the curtains were not enough dark to stop light. -> could be better.Road noise was more than what I would expect, even with widows closed, I was surprised of the night traffic.
Location is just outside Wetzikon station. Rooms are super clean, bathrooms are spick and span. 'Rituals' brand body wash & hand wash provided in bathrooms, which was a welcome change to the usual body washes provided by most hotels. There is a Coop (supermarket), Steiner bakery & a doner kebab shop just downstairs in and around the hotel building. I would like to specifically mention about the staff of the hotel, who are very helpful, polite and kind. Special shout out to the manager Ms. Nurtene Nuredini who kindly agreed for us to leave our luggage at the reception (in her office area) after our check out, as our flight was late at night. It was the weekend, and her office was locked, yet she granted us access to it with complete trust in us. We truly appreciate this gesture, due to which we will surely consider this hotel for our future stays.
The hotel doesn't have a lift, which is a pain if you have huge & heavy luggage after an international flight, like in our case.Thankfully our room was on the 1st floor itself. There is a constant buzzing sound coming from the hotel entrance door, as our room (room 17) was situated just above the hotel entrance. This sound was annoying specially late into the night, when we were trying to sleep. This is our biggest feedback to the hotel, to kindly look into this. Breakfast is served at the neighbouring bakery, and included in the breakfast is an orange juice, tea/coffee and 1 sandwich or croissant. They should include an additional food item or atleast eggs. If you need anything more, one needs to pay for it. We were not quite full after this breakfast, and always ended up buying more stuff. Hotel is a good 25mins by train from the Zurich HB (main train station) to Wetzikon station. Once at Wetzikon, the hotel is just 2 steps from station / bang opposite the station. This commute doesnt get covered by the Zurich travel pass. Thankfully we had the Swiss Travel Pass which covers this route.
Staff is not helpful. No one helps with luggage, you need to carry luggage to the stairs yourself , there is no elevator. Also the staff is not there for weekend. So if you need an iron for example, there is no way you can ask for it
* Very convenient location: Right at the Wetzikon train station. * Clean and comfortable rooms. * Coffee is available in rooms for free. * Super easy self-check-in system, beneficial for late arrivals. * Quick response to questions through Booking.com messenger. * Additional information about services around the zone, is available on the website of the hotel https://www.schweizerhof-wetzikon.ch/en/Willkommen.htm
Nothing to add. As a basic hotel, the Schweirzerhof is a very good one.
The place was ok - clean, breakfast in the shop next to the hotel. We liked it. For one night it was ok.
It is located next to railway station and it was a little bit loud in the night. I think also the price was very high for such a small city.
Location of the hotel is perfect directly opposite the main rail link into Zurich - the self check in is easy and allows stress free arrival without the concern of missing reception times
The hotel was clean and conveniently located close to the ice stadium, where we needed to be for a week. Nice convenience store next door.
Small rooms, small beds, terrible pillows, tiny bathrooms, low ceiling, right in front of train station, questionable people outside, dirty towels, smell cigarette smoke from outside, no elevator, annoying music throughout hotel, absolute lack of services, staff is never around, terrible check-in process, Amex not accepted, too expensive for what it is.
Location.Clean.Staff.Coffee available.
Cold and impossible to control temperature. No breakfast.
It is very clean and looks very nice. The rooms are big enough and the beds are REALLY comfortable
I liked everything about it! :)
The room was very clean and warm and had some character the shower was excellent and being right next to to station was an excellent location had double glazing so didn't get any noise from the trains...thoroughly enjoyable stay
Friendly staff, easy check in, close to station, very clean and modern feel. Convenient shopping nearby until late night.
A dog barked repeatedly during the night. One can hear steps outside. There is no way to lock the room door independently from the inside. Door can be opened with code only. Code can be observed by people standing outside as it is displayed in large letters on the screen for several seconds during checkin process. Would have felt safer with an extra chain to lock the door from the inside.
The staff were really nice and so helpful. The hotel looked new and was extremely comfortable, particularly the beds.
No complaints.
