Hirschen Erlinsbach Swiss Quality

First, this booking was made on behalf of an employee of mine who was traveling to the area for business. The hotel staff was very kind and accomodating as I tried to make this booking and pre-pay for the stay. The hotel itself was lovely, the rooms were comfy and immaculate, and the breakfast was great.

Great place! Quiet room, first class restaurant (regional or Swiss food and wines), nicest and warmest welcome by hotel owner: definitely a place to stay again.

Breakfast was great, continental with fresh cooked eggs on request. Staff were very friendly. Room was excellent, private at one end of the centre. Restaurant was superb, very delightful meal and staff we excellent.

The suburban/semi-rural location was perfect — just a 5-minute walk to the bank & coffee shop and a 15-minute bus ride into town. All staff members — from the gardener to the highest level of hotel staff — were very welcoming & helpful.

The mattress was too thin and firm for me, although the rest of the room was perfect! Someone else also commented about the portions at the automatic wine server being more generous, and they’re right.

Beautiful grounds and location, friendly and helpful staff and loved the self-serve bar/ wine tasting.

a beautiful hotel in a lovely village close to Aarau. staff were so friendly and helpful. will definitely stay there again.

Amazing people, especially the owner. He spent a decent amount of time introducing the hotel and showing us around (know that we booked the cheapest room in the hotel) They also gave us a free upgrade which made the whole stay even better. The restaurant is wonderful too. Very tasty food and good selection of wine.

I am so glad I found this hotel on booking - we arrived around 6pm, booked dinner for 7pm and the dinner was really amazing! I have never eaten better dinner. Staff was really great, helpful and fun to talk to. Breakfast was also delicious - don’t be afraid to ask about an egg, they will definitely make you some if you will want. We really enjoyed our stay and if I will ever be back in Switzerland, I know where I will stay.

The owner, Albi welcomed us and treated us like royalty. Everyone was so lovely. We had an excellent room. Dinner was a real treat and the restaurant is outstanding. Great design, lighting, fabulous wine selection and expertly prepared food that was creative and delicious.

Exceptionally high level for a 3 stars hotel. Clean as always expected in Switzerland. Not even the smallest detail was out of control - not even a scratch in the room! The staff were really pleasant and helped me a lot by letting me have breakfast earlier, so that I could reach the job in time for my duties. The place is about good food and good wines, they got a great automatic wine bar in the lounge - a lounge which is comfortable and furnished with a lot of good taste. Colors, selection of chairs and sofas, it is a feel good place. Exceeding the expectations for a hotel of this category and price level.

Well, nothing to say. Do I have to say something? All right, my suggestion is: lower the price of your beautiful automatic wine bar a little :)

As we arrived after a long bike tour, the Hotel manager took time to directly show us our room (wich he upgraded), guided us to the garage where we could park our bikes. Very friendly, open, humanistic and inviting.

We really didn't found any drawbacks, but we were also not looking for any. We felt welcomed. As it was a short stay we were satisfied with all we experienced.

- great location in quiet little village- good location to explore surroundings for hiking- excellent restaurant- lounge facilities with wine bar

- breakfast was OK- I had room on street side, so was noisy from passing cars with window open

Although the hotel is running in 'economy mode' due to Covid restrictions, all the staff was very nice and helpful. The room in the 'Weinhaus' feels modern and individual, as all rooms were designed by different winemakers of the region.Dinner and breakfast were both very delicious!
