We had to change rooms due to construction but otherwise no problems ?

Without any prior planning, we discovered this gem in Rathnepura. We had intended to stay at Haputhale, but thebad weather forced us to change our plans.The room was very comfortable with air conditioning, and the location is great.it is not too far to the town center. The balcony gave us an extra space for gathering. Hotel staff are very amicable.Place can recommend to everybody seeking peace with happiness.

They are very helpful. Clear rooms, good prices.

Most of staff uninterested not welcoming.Some appeared Casarva intoxicated. Weren’t aware we had booked a stay.Builders renovating property

This is a really good hotel that could be a great hotel. The rooms were clean, the A/C worked well and the staff were lovely. Sampa, the guide who kinda comes with the place was exceptional and made the stay here, for very reasonable extra costs. He tailors the experience to the visitor and is very quick to read what you want and don’t want.. in other words he’s not pushing you to buy stones from anyone, but is happy to bring you to the stone market. He seems to know everyone and all seem to respect and like him - which is a really good sign

The only thing I would say is that there was no breakfast available on the premises - this is a real pain as the town in 3-4km away . However the staff kindly allowed me to bring in my own food from local supermarket and prepare my own breakfast using their kitchen and fridge. Also WIFI not great in one of the rooms and no fans or a/c in the common area / lobby of the hotel.

Staff took our suitcases down to the hotel for us as we could not access the hotel with our van. Location is a bit out of the way but very well signposted. Rooms are very basic: we had to ask for a top sheet for the beds, there was no hot water and one room had a leaking/unusable toilet. A/C worked well and our rooms were together as requested. It was fine for one night and the value for money.

We were travelling in the area and required somewhere to stay. Booking a room was easy, and we were welcomed on arrival by the owner, who was very welcoming and invited us in. We were offered tea or coffee, while our bags were taken to our room. The room was very comfortable, with all the required facilities, and even had a nice balcony to relax on. Plenty of parking for our tuk tuk, and the owner was able to give us plenty of advice on all the great places to visit in the area, showing us photos of the waterfalls and gem mines in the area. Definitely a great place to stay if you are in the area!

Free environment, very clean, friendly service, I recommend this place to anyone.

A Modern European standard a hotel.Without Sampa I don’t think my experience would be as good. He really knows all the spots & can make you smile regardless :)

Please Change the fungus pillowsI had to slept at outside on a chair because the main door they closed and nobody to open.Morning i had a shower try to get rid of bathroom bad smell

The place was clean. The host was welcoming.

The location was quite far out of the main town. Food was not available which we had not realised when booking.

the property is really nice and modern. rooms are spacious. we had the best tea with milk ever! Sampa is an amazing guide who took us to adam’s peak and few places and waterfalls around ratnapura. a true local experience thanks to him!

Nice quiet location. Backed onto rainforest. Nice balcony to watch the thunderstorm from. Big rooms, A/C available. The local guide, Sampa, was an absolute legend and offered to show me around Ratnapura even though I hadn’t previously enquired. He is somewhat affiliated with the accommodation, so he just turned up. Helped me navigate the hospital, and fast. (Needed a vaccination). Spending time with him ended up being a highlight of the trip.

Hot water in the shower would have been nice, and the wifi didn’t really work while I was there.

Sampa was an amazing host we wanted to hike Adam’s peak and her personally took us there and back in the middle of night for a very reasonable price.

Fine place to stay for a stopover in Ratnapura. The room was clean and the staff welcoming.

No mosquito net above the bed and no hot water in the shower.

Everything is new and clean, and there is hot water availeble! Owner is very helpful!

Location is not near in the center. You need a tuktuk for 4,5 km. And night was noise, dogs in the area were barked frue the night
