ibis Styles Troyes Centre

Pros +

• Surprisingly spacious room and close to the centre of Troyes. Excellent staff, very attentive and pleasant. Complimentary coffee facilities at reception - always a bonus. Hotel advertises itself as dog friendly, and it genuinely is. Reasonable breakfast.
• The staff we wonderful, particularly Julian. The car parking was so easy and safe with plenty of room. The breakfast was plentiful, refilled frequently with delicious cheese, pastries, cakes, breads, eggs, juices, cold meats, fruit, yogurt, cereals and hot drinks. The breakfast was available for hours. The terrace behind the hotel was gorgeous overlooking a creek with rainbow trout. The location was absolutely fabulous, close to the old city centre with its amazing medieval architecture. Two lifts were quick. The rooms were spotlessly clean.

Cons -

• Perhaps the inconvenience of the off site car park, which admittedly isnt far from the hotel but its a bit of a faff nonetheless. Although this hotel is close to the centre of town so, considering that, it's not that much of a problem.
• The comforters are heavy so I felt overly heated at night. Our bed might need updating. But the linens, towels and room amenities were good.
