- Big territory
- The location is amazing, the facilities are so nice and the rooms were stunning
- The villa was clean specious
Cons -
- Dead mice around And mice in the restaurant The beach is not for swimming
- The staff was quite slow on many things. Very friendly, just don't be in a rush.
- I pay for a certain villa with specific pictures shown in booking but it was different in the real life, it supposed to be private as shown in bookings.com where in real life it wasn’t private at all, i talked to the staff to explain but they wasn’t cooperating with me, and they charged me 100 euros to use a shade to increase the privacy as the villa wasn’t as appeared in the pictures provided by booking.com. I regret the money i paid for this resort and i wish if i would’ve booked another resort where i get what i paid for.

Everything was excellent — I’ll definitely be back! Special thanks to Ms. Wazefah and Ms. Pooja.
If possible, I would appreciate some variation in the dinner menu.
Service was great and the property setting is fantastic. The staff were friendly and always eager to help, great job.
The dining experience was a little off - the food is good, but the restaurant has a mix of Thai, Indian, Arab and Western cuisines, with the different cuisines being unavailable on different days of the week which I found weird. The restaurant also applied a strict dresscode at dinner which made guests go back to their rooms and change just because of wearing shorts, which is weird for a beachfront resort.
Very cooprative and dedicated staff food is good but great except for lamb biriani which was the best I had in my life and I can eat it every day
Only chicken burger
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
They need to create more beach activities, such as sailing, skiing, snorkeling. The need to create night activities as well, such as music vibes, dancing, shows.
The resort is actually a lot nicer in reality than in pictures! Perfect beach, swimming pools were great and we never had to wait for sun beds. There are two main swimming pools and a really nice children’s pool. Kids club was great, really nice staff and a lot of cool activities. There are 4 restaurants in the hotel, all were really nice and had a lot of options. We loved the food :) The rooms are a bit dated but large, comfortable beds and clean. The view is absolutely stunning from the room. Excellent experience! Highly recommended for families.
There is a dress code for dinner at the main restaurant, they require men to wear long trousers which didn’t make sense as it’s really hot.
Quiet, calm and lovely staff.
There should be a place for teenagers to meet - a games room for example.
That was a peaceful time in Shanti hotel. The only thing that we couldn’t try was sup-boarding, we were unlucky with coming cyclone. Very clean, spacious, perfect mattress and bed linen. Everything was perfect from the first step, we really want to come back once again. The main restaurant was brilliant with food and service. Breakfast had plenty of delicious food, good coffee and very tasty champagne “Cape Bay” that we even tried to find out later in the supermarkets, but failed )))To cut a long story short - was absolutely worth to visit Shanti?
I can’t say that something was wrong. May be ants in the apartment, but that’s nature
Beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds full of wildlife. First floor room overlooked the ocean. Staff were friendly and couldn’t wait to look after you. Most extensive and delicious buffet breakfast with additional option to order. Great choice of dinner options. We enjoyed snorkelling from the beach and walks along the shoreline.
gardens are exquisite, spa peaceful, food excellent and staff attentive .
communication failure on last day ....

A magical place to rest. We fully agree with all the positive reviews from the other guests. The Hotel is very well equipped, everything nicely maintained and clean, with an amazing breakfast buffet with many fresh fruits and salads. The staff were nice and friendly, (just like the poor lovely strays roaming around!). We called it harmony :-). The garden is like Eden, with a lot of singing birds and flying foxes. The sea is amazing for snorkelling (more than just swimming), with plenty of corals and colourful fish! And the beautiful beach is cleaned daily. As an aside: the tourists (us included) were feeding the few strays (dogs and cats), because they looked timid and hungry. But we felt a little uneasy about it.... We would have been happy to donate to the hotel to help feed them properly with the right food and look after them (Neuter-Return-Care), as already happens in other places in the world. I am sure that if those animals looked happy - satisfied - no guest would have a reason to worry. The strays are a fact of life on the island and this could be the most respectful and positive way to deal with them. With loving kindness...: "MAY ALL BEINGS BE HAPPY AND FREE", SHANTI, SHANTI, SHANTI....
My stay at Shanti Maurice was unfortunately an absolute disaster. The biggest scam of all: the forced food package during cyclone Garance - only in-room food orders. I understand emergency protocols, and at first, everything seemed well-organized. But then came the outrageous extortion tactics – you’re forced to pay for the most expensive 4-course food package (MUR 3000-4000 per person) with no option to order à la carte and no other restaurants in the area. I only wanted a main dish and got in a fight with the manager, but he rudely refused, claiming it was “too difficult for the chefs to manage.” How does ordering less food make things harder for a chef?! It was pure greed, plain and simple. Only after I filed a complaint did they call me and allow a smaller order. Then came the absolute incompetence of the staff. On 28 February 2025 I called reception to book a restaurant (Rum Shed). They confirmed my reservation, so my wife and I got ready, only to arrive at a completely closed restaurant! Turns out, the place was never even open that day! How does a five-star hotel not know which of their own restaurants are open?! No explanation - just a shrug. On top of it one morning, breakfast arrived at 12 PM when it should've been delivered at 8-9AM. After calling reception four times, they finally admitted it was “sent but didn’t arrive.” What does that even mean?! Did it disappear into a black hole? The hotel facilities are really nice, but there’s clearly a need to better train the staff - some very basic customer management skills are just missing.
Everything. The location in the South, peaceful and surrounded by pristine nature. The resort well organised, professional, kind personnel, superb breakfast and beautiful facilities.
The prices in the restaurants are expensive and the portions depending on the dish can be small. There is very limited choice to dine outside the hotel. The food is top quality but expensive
landscaping, free yoga classes, SPA, room 128

Beach is beautiful, with plenty of sun loungers and beanbags , 3 pools and jacuzzis The yoga classes in the morning were great and the instructor very knowledgeable, kind and welcomeRooms are amazing, all of them facing the beach Bars with live music at night was really nice and food at the restaurants were amazing
I found a bit strange that the Gym only opens from 9:00am until 4:00Pm, exactly the time that you do not want to exercise because of the heat. I would suggest to open the gym from 7:00 until at least 7:00pm
Very relaxed resort with focus on Yoga, Ayurveda and healthy lifestyle. Nice gardens, sport facilities, very quiet and ZEN.
Very clean and well maintained. Right on the beach and every room gets its umbrella. You don’t need to fight with other guests. Everything was excellent.
Nothing I didn’t like. The only downside was that the coffee in the room was not replaced when we ran out of it.
