Urban Style, Hôtel Le Cheval Noir, Saint-Étienne

The staff was welcoming. The room was a good size and had one of the most confortable beds I have slept in for a long time. We had a 4th floor room with a patio, excellent to spend evening.

Bath with tub shower no shower curtain and hard to stand up with slanted ceiling.

Here for an Olympic football game - it was a clean quiet place to rest our heads for the night convenient to both the train station and the stadium

The location was within minutes of centre of the city and they have their own secure car park on site. The bed was very comfortable and staff went above and beyond to assist us and make us feel welcome.

Located in a backstreet.

An older style hotel, easy walking distance to restaurants in the town square. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. We were able to check in early, which was a bonus.

The central location was great (nice bar straight opposite!), good humoured staff. Nice little roof terrace.It DOES have secure garage parking. But…

The parking is in a sub-basement and challenging to access (via a turntable and lift) for anything but a small car (or confident driver)Rooms would benefit from a refurb soon.

Nothing, the road closures in the town made finding the hotel difficult, but the amazingly helpful staff made this problem which was not their fault, disappear.

The mattress was firm as we like it

No safe box. The hotel entrance and the room were not really inviting. The furniture was outdated and worn out. Bad lighting. Even the room numbers were printed on papers and glued to the door !

The location.The airconditioning.The staff are nice and polite.

Where to start.. old, haggard and tired interior. Bed was way too short (180cm?) so my feet were dangling over the edge, and I’m no giant at 185cm.Bathroom was clean but the floor felt like it could collapse any moment.All in all way too expensive for what you get. I should have gone with an IBIS hotel.

Great location in center of town.

The second couch bed was a bit too soft/old. The sheets where new and clean but the bed itself needed an upgrade. The main bed was good however. The bathroom also had some tiles which were loose but apart from that it was clean and good for the night.
