Pros +
- Amazing value for money. My expectations were exceeded for the price I paid. Lovely staff on reception, very quiet room away from street which was huge for France. Excellent
- Definitely seemed like the safest venue in the center of town and was reasonably busy with both business and tourism visitors. Not so many obvious breakfast alternatives nearby so glad we paid extra for breakfast.

Cons -
- Saint-Etienne appears to be in economic difficulties with many shops vacant along the street of the hotel. The hotel has surprise steps both in corridors and in rooms that might not suit travelers with mobility limitations.
- We are accustomed to fuller pillows . Ours were very thin at the hotel.
- The walk from the elevator to my room was *significantly* longer than I'd expected, and it was a bit of an inconvenience to have to go that far every time I wanted to leave my room and come back. While somewhat to be expected for a French hotel, the breakfast foods are all relatively small portions, and there also wasn't a lot of warm food.

The hotel is well located close to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful.

Very good location. Plenty of space for everything in the room. Very clean and comfortable. Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. Would go back and recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit St Etienne
They were able to cancel and return my money for a Xmas evening stay as the reception was closed earlier than usual and I was not able to make it on time. Appreciated!
The room was quite spacious, and much of the furniture was practical and useful. The room had configurable temperature control, and there was also a mini kitchen with a stove, sink, fridge, and cabinets with glasses and so on. The crossaints at breakfast were delicious.

The room was a good size, it was clean and the kitchenette was exactly what we needed.
The room we got was not the one in the photos and we were told it did not exist. We booked a room with a balcony - it was an important factor in making our decision to stay here. On arrival we asked for that room we were told the picture was of a suite not a room with a Queen bed (the room we had booked). I feel duped. Pictures show the view fromthe room we booked and the room we actually got.
Les Halles food maket very close for some excellent food kiosks. Busy night life streets nearby too.
Good-sized room in aparthotel in central location, just a short walk from the main shopping and restaurant area. Clean, comfortable, good wifi, and I liked having a bath. (Also, cooking facilities, which I didn't use.) Staff helpful when I managed to lock myself out of the room. And if you want to go to the station, there's a tram stop just outside.
Odd numbering system in the road. I found no 13 without problem, and I expected no 15 to be next door, but it's quite a long way down the road. But no complaints about the room.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Clean, well equipped room with a huge bed with lovely bedding. Within easy walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. Great night life and felt very safe. The car park is very close to the accommodation (details for future guests maybe useful). Lots on offer for breakfast and an easy, friendly check out.
Very central location, helpful & service minded stuff. Shops & restaurants are walking distance
Somewhat old, needs a light renovation No water stream pressure in bathroom
Passable
Due to energy saving, I was told at the reception that the air conditioning in the hotel was turned off, citing that it was not very hot. But the room was very stuffy, the hotel was empty like a haunted house.
The bed and location
The Manager Charllotte was the rudest person .Does not reply to to greeting in French always say NO to whatever you ask.Bookings.Com I booked for 2 persons ,at hotel they asked me to pay extra for second person.Plus I booked with Breakfast they charge me 20 CAD for average breakfast

The studio was spacious, with enough cupboard space and a mini kitchenette. Working fast wifi. Large, modern TV.Quiet, as it was facing an internal courtyard. The breakfast buffet was complete and pretty good.
While cleanliness was generally ok, technical facilities of the room (lights, furniture) were very old and run down. The bathroom had no shower, but a bathtub with a high entry. A single product bottle for hand soap / shower gel / shampoo. No hotel parking.
It is in a good location
Parking is poor and the room smelled.
The cleanliness, the beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good, staff very helpful, the room was spacious.
There was only one comfortable chair and no conditioner or body lotion.
