- Room door didn’t work, couldn’t lock it, pool was in terrible shape, couldn’t use it; food and service were terrible at dinner. Mosquitos everywhere. Crazy loud noise from across the river. Not hotel’s fault but still impacted the stay.
- The Rooms are outdated and need a revamp, the Gardens are terrible and have had no up keep at all, food is very overpriced and not that great either, the breakfast was really poor had like 3 options to choose from also no bacon for a 3 start Hotel is not acceptable service at bar counter was very slow no one checked up on you. Overall rather book some where else.
- Rooms are becoming old and the cleanliness is not as earlier and the water from bathroom and toilet was brown in colour making one uncomfortable to bath using the coffee brown water from the shower.

The staff won us over. We had a delicious dinner here.
This hotel seemed a bit shabby. Operating on a shoestring. We were first sent to a room that wasn’t clean, empty bottles strewn around on the lawn outside and twin beds. Olivia was quick to find a clean room with a queen bed. Room was shabby but clean. Little to no WiFi, breakfast was not great but adequate. Once again Olivia was very helpful with other issues.
For the price the room should have had a mini fridge to keep items in. The water was brown with no information as to why that was
the service was very reluctant
The River view from the room was great and the chairs outside to give u open view and fresh air from the Zambezi River
The Room we were in was spacious Room 11 and the Shower was good. Breakfast and the view of the River were great.
The Bedding looked dirty (Old), and it looked like the pillowcases had not been changed from the previous clients. There was a smell probably coming from the floor carpet.
The room was nice size, and comfortbale bed
Staff seemed uninterested to be of service.Kettle in the room didn't work, was replaced but felt that the staff was doing you a huge favour to replace the item. I asked for extra coffee and didnt get any. Hairdryer out of order, only 1 glass in the room for two people . Room had a connecting door to a lounge area of the room next door, guests tried to gain access to the room. Litter in front of the room on the river front. Attention to detail lacking. Room is classified as VIP but not up to standard. On departure no-one at reception to check out, at checkbout time rang the bell three times hard before someone attended to me.
Location is amazing, the chalets were clean, nice and comfortable sheets, friendly staff.
Some facilities in the room could be user friendly, sockets, fly screen
Amazing receptionist Oliva. Friendly and welcoming. The system was down but she made sure we got the rooms we wanted. Attended to our every enquiry.
The Dinning staff especially at breakfast were not organized. It's a nice hotel just that the service is a bit slow.
The location is right by the river and the grounds are excellent. The room has all the facilities you would expect including a television which was a bonus. The wi-fi was also good and available in the room not just in the restaurant and reception. The man on reception was very helpful and allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. This really helped us and was much appreciated.
The service in the bar and restaurant was poor. At lunchtime we ordered a toasted sandwich which took nearly half an hour to arrive and was then not what we ordered. However having waited so long we did not wish to send it back. The evening meal service was also slow even though the restaurant was not full. Most of hte staff need a reminder about looking after the customers.
Food was OK. Premises were clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
A lot of facilities simply didn't work. It took 4 goes to find a room with working air conditioning. Door handles were falling off. Lights missing. Shower cubicle didn't drain at an acceptable rate. Very few guests. The place felt like it was in mothballs. Poor reflection on Marriott chain of hotels. Pool was a livid green. Weeds throughout the gardens.
Great view.
Bathroom was not clean... Reception took 5 times to print a basic tax invoice...
Just location, because it's on the river side
Everything is old, dirty, and broken. The swimming pool is extremely dirty. There's no mosquito net on bed. Breakfast is terrible ( impossible to eat). Coffee disgusting. In Menü half of food they don't have.
Location and proximity to the border
Bathrooms were slimy and moldy. Breakfast was not up to scratch, eggs were bad and onions
Pagiel is very friendly and nicely calm. She was understanding.
Breakfast was sub-standard for a hotel. The food was mostly stale and cold. The rooms were not very inviting. More can be done to improve them.
Rooms are quiet nice and spacious and clean.
The hotel did not have most of the food and drinks on the menu, which was quite disappointing. I had a lamb chop (1 small piece) with veggies for N$310, breakfast was also not as it used to be. I did not appreciate having to drive to town just to have a steak or oxtail. No information regarding extra activities at the reception, I believe they can do better, but something needs to change drastically:
Great location by the Zambezi river
The rooms smelled very bad, like they have not been aired out in a long time. I think the carpets and drapes need a proper cleaning or to be replaced. The faucet in the bathroom was loose and the TV did not work.
The food was really good, the room was clean.
I booked three standard rooms with double beds, and non of the rooms had double beds. Honestly as a hotel with a reputation I was very disappointed that there was nothing they could do about it. And didn’t even make the situation any better. With the amount of money that was paid I expect to get what I paid for. So frustrating. There was also hair everywhere in my bathroom. Either from staff cleaning or previous guests. Additionally, the restaurant was severely understaffed and we had to literally go searching for someone to attend to our needs.
Very good
Booking through Booking.com was for 2 rooms, but the Hotel only had 1 room booked out. Luckily, they had a cancellation and could accommodate us.
