    Pros +

    • The chalet in general (heat, cooking equipment), the facilities, wood, sauna and pit fire in a hut. It was -32 when we were there and all these facilities made it warm and cosy! Also good place to spot northern lights.
    • The place was beautiful and the cabin was fine.
    • This place exceeded our expectations! Whilst we didn’t expect that there is not going to be any staff around (as we travelled in winter the cafe was closed and staff is available thru the phone call only), but after having our private sauna and kota dinner experience we were immersed in wilderness of a place. Later in evening more guests came to the camping for the night and that put us at ease. We were travelling with a public transport and the bus left us right to the doorstep.

    Cons -

    • Just be careful : in winter, there’s no reception, you have to call a phone number to give you a code. It works very easy, just be sure you have phone connection!
    • When we arrived it was not clean. We had to wait for 1 hour in the freezing cold while they cleaned the house (and the cleaning was questionable). The place was very cold. The heating system broken and no wood to light up a fire. I called reception and they told me the place was self-operated so… they couldn’t help me. A total shame!!
    • Electricity upstairs did not work.

Very spacious and beautiful wooden cottage.Very well equipped

    Electricity upstairs did not work.

The cottages are small, but comfortable and well-equipped. Everything that is needed is there, including some tea, coffee, or basic food products. The cottage is very warm and super quiet at night. Location is great for a pitstop during the trip North.

Great little cabin, well equipped, tidy and clean, good for a stay on our bike packing trip

Nice place. Not as a hotel but a cabin. Different feeling. Nice scenery but a little bit inconvenient.

Tiny houses are so cozy, warm and comfortable. Nature was amazing and we have absolutely enjoyed a little house with fireplace!

Just that there was no personell around, maybe we could ask how to heat up and use sauna. But despite of that, it didn't bother us much, since all instructions for getting keys have been provided

Amazing place, nice location with the amazing views. You can do some tours near the camp. Parking is possible directly in front of the cabin. The cabin was heated before our arrival, therefore that is very pleasant and thank you for that. Very cozy accommodation. You can use common area and wood heated sauna - absolutely great, the wood was ready fot using.

The self check in is very good thing, but it needs to be improved. I don't understand the system that I have to call the person and only then get the code. I always get a code in advance at all self check-in facilities. if anything happens to the person who is supposed to tell me the code will i be left out in the winter? The furnish of cabin was not complete like the performance/price ratio. Broken chair and sometimes broken light in the bathroom, but everything was good, that is not big problem.

Smooth self check in and check out. Nice cabin close to the river, very good location to hunt auroras!

Nothing, we liked it as it was

This place was great. We had a cottage with a sauna and shower in the next door. Room was nice and clean, place was very quiet and despite the fact the sauna wasn't looking really pretty at first, it has got it's vibe and we decided to heat it up and go there - best choice we could possibly make. Kitchen equipment was sufficient and we didn't miss anything.

Our room was very cold when we arrived and we weren't prepared for a scenario including us heating up the room with a stove. There was an electric heater in the room as well but it wasn't on when we arrived. It took us some time to start a fire in the stove because there weren't quite enough things to start a fire and the stove didn't have the right draft so we used plenty of paper towels. But we managed to heat the room to a point that we almost didn't need blankets during night.

Quiet and very clean place. It has sauna! And almost everything for good vacation on the nature place.

    1. No wi-fi in the house, Only near reception.2. Reception was closed at 17:00 although in a message it was stated open till 18:00. So we needed to make a phone call to have a code for the key.

+clean+quiet and nice location+good heating system

-door closed very hard-Very small cottage-no Wi-Fi /WLAN-coffee shop not open

It is a nice spot on the road to Rovaniemi and also the free sauna was a great treat

The dishes were dirty, had finger prints, hair and grease on them. The pictures were misleading! The free sauna was a great treat, however the shower only had boiling hot water, and there was no option to decrease the water temperature (at least it did not work)Wi-fi was not really working. The logs were unfortunately too long for the stove (most of them)The chairs are really wobbly / unstable The shower doesn't drain properly and it would be great to have curtains upstairs as well

    8RalfPosted on: 1-2-2023

Our cabin was nice and well equipped, with a fridge, oven, kettle etc. I liked that the cabins were a bit scattered, not all in a row. Right at the riverside. Good lingonberry cheesecake in the cafe.

A reading lamp at the beds would have been nice. There was one extra lamp but it didn't work and no spare bulb of that size.

    Passable

Shower in another room where you have to go outside. There was no hot waterThe room had two beds attached to the wall, but there was only one ladder and you had to climb over the other person sleeping.Very small cottage

    7ChrisPosted on: 12-30-2022

The location on the river was great. Nice cosy place. Great hot water and good pressure shower.

Needs some attention to some minor maintenance issues. Only wifi is at the cafe. The kitchen needs some extra utensils etc. No toaster in the room. The window upstairs couldn't be closed off with a blind (had none).

Lovely, cosy and clean lodge in an amazing location. Good communication with clear instructions of check in details. We'll definitely book again if in the area.
