Cons -
- We felt deceived by the hotel's amenities. First, one of the reasons we booked this place was to enjoy dinner at their restaurant (no nice restaurants anywhere near the hotel). Upon arrival, we were told the restaurant is closed and is only for private events; however, their website seems to indicate a normal restaurant with a la carte menu and so on, and even an information pack received from them on the check-in day suggested it was a regular restaurant. Second, we booked this hotel so we could spend some time in the pool. However, their "spa" (a small pool and a sauna) was only available for private use on short periods of time, and by paying a separate fee. We paid 74EUR for 2 adults and a toddler for rights to use the "spa" for 50mins. Way too expensive. Also, this price was different than announced in their pamphlets at the reception. When I asked why, the answer was that customers who booked their rooms on booking dot com pay more. There was a feeling of being taken advantage of by a hotel that i think tries to pose as high end hotel but was just normal.
- Reception and kitchen closes very early (4 pm) and you can"t have access to restaurant. If they accept guests to stay at the hotel, then all the staff they need including their chef should be ready to provide service. The hotel owner is a very nice person and so helpful while the receptionist is making everything hard is a NO person. You can use the spa by.reserving and it is charged per person!
- For a four star hotel with good reviews there were a surprising number of quite big issues: 1. the WiFi didn't work properly and kept dropping the connection all the time, 2. the main light in my room didn't work properly, 3. my room was not cleaned at all during my four night stay despite me even having the sign on my door for that, 4. the fire alarm randomly and out of nowhere went off once in my room, 5. there was a huge and a bit noisy construction site ruining absolutely all the views right outside the hotel, 6. the staff was a bit rude and unprofessional, 7. I was overcharged by one euro for my minibar usage (noticed it afterwards)

The hotel is definitely worth to stay - located in the very beautiful area, just few steps from the slope, surrounded by unlimited number of trails for hiking or skiing. Very beautiful contemporary design, cozy, warm and comfortable rooms, absolute quietness during the night time. Most important - very friendly team, creating particular great vibe of the place. We were not for the first times here and definitely will come back again
This property was lovely, I really appreciate how homely it felt. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom a bit tricky that one. There’s a ski resort not too far from the hotel you can literally walk over there. There’s a restaurant at the slope area and in the hotel but the one at the hotel at the time of my stay was not open until Thursdays. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was top notch. I really enjoyed my stay and I’m looking forward to coming back.
The breakfast was very good and what you'd expect from a four star hotel. Everything looked clean and new.

Room was available and Check-in late was no problem. Great breakfast and good room. Room even featured a balcony
Room was big and spacious with lots of hooks and a warming cabinet. Well equipped for the ski season. Bed super comfy, loved the balcony and dinner and breakfast were delicious.
Bathroom was large but shower was so small. Not sure why this is a common theme in Finland Hotels.
Coming from three disappointing hotels in Kajaani, hotel Aateli was a very, very positive surprise. The breakfast, the staff, the and room's facilities were just what I needed.
Knowing that my stay would end.
Extremely friendly staff. Even though the restaurant was closed they managed to prepare an excellent dinner for me. As I was leaving the hotel before breakfast was served, they proposed to prepare and bring to my room a large breakfast. Thumbs Up!
Great location, peaceful alpine style hotel, clean and cozy room, entry by pin code, private spa
Dinner at the restaurant did not quite meet our expectations
cosy room, location, staff, strong wi-fi
The hotel is brand new: rooms are cozy and quite big. There's a terrace where you can enjoy a nice view on the area. The restaurant is good (prices are high as in all Finland). Breakfast is good too.
Very nice new building and rooms, located next to the ski lifts, so real ski in and out. Unfortunately restaurant was closed during our stay, but breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff, left a good feelng.
The rooms are great with a big balcony, working air-con, and a beautiful decor. If you arrive after 4pm, you'll receive a text message with a code to enter the hotel and your room - very convenient! The breakfast is tasty and offers everything you need.
The staff were not wearing face masks, not even during preparing the breakfast. This was the only disappointment, otherwise the property would deserve full marks.
It’s really next to the slope.
Cleanliness and location
The hotel is very comfortable, breakfast was reach, I would come again

Lights in the room. Must be changed
