- I stayed at the Gasthof Kreuz while cycling the Gavel Trans Jura. Now imagine one sedond: I arrived after cycling 9 hours under pouring rain covered in mud like Peppa Pig at end of an episode. I did have the time to apologize because I was offered bike wash and the manager was super cool and understanding when I left some mud in the hallway. It’s a family business and the whole family was incredibly warm and hospitable. We also stayed for dinner and the salad dressing was a masterpiece. Big thank you for this enjoyable stay!

The restaurant, which has a nice terrace, serves fine dishes. Welschenrohr, a nice little village, sits inmidst of the Nature Park Thal, which boasts beautiful lanscapes.

After a long walk - clean comfortable and spacious room
Thevowner is very friendly, our room was large and comfortable with a great shower. The food as the restaurant was also great, especially the breakfast with local honey and jam. We are happy we chose this place to stay on our hike, we would absolutely come again!
