    Pros +

    • Outstanding staff and service. Great location. Wonderful healthy and delicious breakfast.
    • Wonderful location in a traditional alpine village. Friendly hosts and staff and a great selection of whisky!
    • We stopped here to spend the night before going to Italy through the pass. It is beautifully made out of wood, has a comfy bed, and also has a small balcony. It was great for starting the trip through the pass. I think it is usually a hiker's or skier's hotel.

    Cons -

    • The receptionist was a bit grumpy :)
    • We didn't get much of a welcome when we arrived but it didn't matter and later on staff were friendly especially in the restaurant and at breakfast. Couldn't fault our room and I would recommend staying at Hotel Walser.
    • Biggest let down for me was the young gentleman serving lunch. Rude and not friendly at all. Maybe he was having a bad day...

The host Andy & Alice and all the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was great size , clean and comfortable . Great little village and not far to drive south to Tasch. Or the train runs through as well.

A lovely swiss hotel well located next to the ViaRhona cycle path. It wasn't situated right in the centre of Ulrichen but was an easy walk away, quieter and a very good location for us (cycling the Rhone valley). We stayed in the annex which I had thought might not be as good as being in the hotel itself but it was lovely. Spacious and clean with a great bathroom. We also had a coffee machine/kettle which was nice. The hotel had a restaurant which was excellent. Breakfast was also generous and set us up for a day of cycling.

We didn't get much of a welcome when we arrived but it didn't matter and later on staff were friendly especially in the restaurant and at breakfast. Couldn't fault our room and I would recommend staying at Hotel Walser.

Lovely ski lodge with great outside dining area, very good breakfast & most of the staff were excellent.

The room was a good size but bathroom was tiny, pillows weren’t very comfortable & you can’t get air into room without bugs flying in as there’s no screens. The waiter was rude & has no idea how to be polite with language barrier, maybe he needs to consider that not everyone can understand him .

The Hotel Walser staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived we felt as if we were the exceptional guests receiving red-carpet treatment. Our dinner was delicious—the portions huge! The continental breakfast buffet was a pleasure. Great bread and great choices of bread and croissants. Also, fresh confiture and local honey and cheeses. Wonderful!

I found the mattress comfortable (my sensitive back didn't ache in the morning, yay!), but a bit too hot for my liking. I burned up in it. But that's totally on me and my preferences.

Perfect access to the beautiful Swiss mountain roads: Furka Pass, Susten Pass, Nufenen Pass, Gotthard Pass. Very quiet, very nice. Large parking area.

the only thing that is good is the location of the hotel

there was some kind of dirt on my pillow, it is clear that the bed linen is not washed after the visitors. at 5 in the morning I could clearly hear the neighbor from above going to the toilet and taking a shower at 5 in the morning !!! when I made an order there was an option to rent a bike, when they came there they said with confidence that they did not and did not have such an option. In addition, I ordered a room with one double bed and received all the single beds that were constantly moving apart, also when ordering, a request was indicated for a visit on the upper floor, but I was given the second floor for the construction site, it was very noisy.

The room was clean. We had a great view from the terrace.

Some of the staff in the restaurant do not know or won't to speak in English.Menu is only in German.

    Cleanliness, breakfast, staff

    Bathroom a bit small.

Nice people, good location, good restaurant too. The terrace has a splendid view.

A rather poor bathroom. Personally, I don't like a wash table in the room.
