Sundvolden Hotel

Beautiful scenery, grocery store within walking distance. The evening Restuarant had excellent food.

They do not have rooms for more than two people. Only single and doubles. So a family of three or four is left out!! No air conditioning. The room was stuffy. No fan either.

The view is beautiful from the room and the room is very nice and good size.

There is a little unpleasant smell in the room, I believe that it was left from someone who has a very strong body smell...Otherwise, everything is perfect.

The access to kayaks on the water was a welcome surprise! I took a lovely paddle and then utilized the spa afterwards. The breakfast was delicious!!

The steam sauna was not working and I got a small burn in the dry sauna on the metal rim of the backrest, beware!! The hot tub was not very hot. But it was a nice rest after paddling. I don’t think they should charge full price if steam sauna is not available.

The hotel was extremely spotless, felt cozy and was very reasonably priced.

The only really small nitpicks I had is that the floors in the hallway creaked a bit and the stone floor in the sauna floor was uncomfortably hot.

Very pleasant stuff and beautiful facilities. Spacious room and comfy bed. Breakfast is delicious. We would be happy to stay again.

My room was a bit small.

The breakfast had a wide selection, the grounds were nice to walk around, the rooms were large and the beds were comfortable.

Some of the hot breakfast entrées were lukewarm but they were feeding a large convention group there also who could show up at any intervals.

Surprised by the size over 200 rooms set around the 17th century old building as shown. Exceedingly modern but sympathetic to couples. Families well catered for in the modern dining area, we loved the breakfast in the historic part. Terrific gardens and walking areas. Super staff especially Alvide on reception. Great artwork too

Beautiful historical place, incredibly clean and pretty room. The whole building and interior is just stunning and food huge wooooow. We did tried delicious entrecôte in restaurant for dinner and ate one of the best breakfast ever ? I can definitely recommend the place and got sure will come back in the future.

Pets are allowed in the hotel, which means there might be occasional noise or sudden dog barking.

The location was good place near the hiking area

The checkout time was too early. No fridge in the room. No toothpaste. The water in the shower was weak. The bed was way too soft. The restaurant closed too early. It wasn’t worth the 1800NOK we paid.

Spacious room, nice terrace, some free games like table soccer and shuffleboard.
