Good place to stay right before town when you’re tired from the camino.
No air conditioning, a little dated, went to play ping pong but the basement where the table was, was a bit creepy and moldy.
Location was basically a truck stop. No Camino vibe. Staff were efficient but not warm. Room was sufficient and slept well.
Location was bad. Restaurant nearby was ok-think it made me sick. No Camino friendliness.
I was in a thunderstorm and desperately need a bed out of the rain.
The person working the front desk seemed like I was inconveniencing him with my need to check in.
The location was good for me as it suited the distance that I was travelling that day. The area seemed like a truck stop. Unfortunately, I arrived on a Sunday which is always a questionable time to be in a location without a grocery store or restaurant.
The host seemed frazzled. It looked like a large group was about to arrive as there were many keys laid out for pickup. I should have planned better to be arriving on a Sunday. There were a few vending machine options but nothing of substance.
Perfect stop walking the Camino de Santiago. Comfortable bed with private bath
Never saw one staff person. Key was on the desk and our forwarded bags were in the hall. Breakfast was self serv but still adequate.
spa bathtub and hot water, ciurtesy free breakfast from hotel owner
heating
There are very few positive things that I can say about this hotel. My room was dated, but the bed was comfortable, and the sheets appeared to be clean and fresh, as were the towels.
On entering the hotel, I was greeted by a man behind the desk. He was very abrupt and didn’t seem interested in anything. As with all previous albergue’s and other stays, I offered him my passport. He merely gestured with his hands saying ‘not interested’. Gave him my Pilgrim credential for a stamp. Again he effectively said, ‘Do it yourself’. There was no formal welcome, just wanted the money and handed me a very unusual room key. I then found my own room. I saw other rooms with doors wide open, that had clearly been used, beds unmade etc, but it was as if the cleaners had gone on strike. Entering my room the window was broken (unable to shut it properly), the curtains were torn and didn’t appear clean. More worryingly to discover silver foil being wrapped around a number of electrical cables. Then I entered the dining area. I was shocked to see half empty wine glasses and plates with scraps of leftover food still on tables. The whole place was a mess. Cereal boxes left open to the elements and the list goes on. It was as if the dining room had suddenly been evacuated and then the people not returned. As I was looking at the various Perspex food containers I witnessed a mouse run along the back of them from left to right. I met a couple of other guests who, like me thought the whole scenario very bizarre and extremely strange. There was no way, had a meal been offered, that I would have chanced it.
The building was beautiful.
The place, on the whole, was rather spooky. It was isolated, not yet quite in town. The next door bar was closed for the day (Saturday) which meant crossing the busy highway and walking to the nearest restaurant. That in itself was no big deal. What was concerning is the fact that there was no staff present at all. I never saw a live person. My key was literally left sitting on the front desk. I locked myself in my room and only later in the evening heard evidence of other guests. The place became very loud so that it was hard to sleep. Again in the morning there was no one present. I left my key where I had found it the day before and walked away.
Nothing. No soup for you treatment. Almost hilarious.
No service no attendance. All rooms open and striped. Spooky place. Unsecured property. Dangerous.
Easy to find it and the Camino trail.
Bare bones. There is no staff but they do leave keys for you. It’s a place to spend the night and that’s it!
Clean, close to the Camino and food. Staff was helpful.
Lovely space in the room, super clean and staff very helpful. Easy checkin too
Barely adequate.
New building in the middle of truck stop cum building site. Eating facilities very poor. No wifi.
Location, quality of bedding, excellent and cheap restaurant for lunch and dinner
No staff around, post its everywhere, lack of cleanliness of the room very dusty, poor breakfast (butter was bitter, no fresh food)
Location on the camino
Bizarre nothing nearby, no food of note.
Clean room, excellent bathroom with abundant hot water.
Manager was brusque, seemed surprised that he would need to explain how things worked to people who had never stayed there before.
stay away!
The location is a truck stop. the only staff person doubles as the primary staff at the (bad) truck stop restaurant 200 yards away. The room smelled very badly. I suspect the owners aren’t sure whether to keep it open as a hotel and it’s just in a holding pattern for now. avoid at all costs.
