Pros +
- Stunning location for views and not far from Berga for meals and exploring. A beautiful building with some lovely original features, big rooms, big car park, big car park. This seems to be only a 2star hotel, it feels better and with just one or touches I think it would be. Breakfast was the best we had had so far on our 2 week holiday. They also spoke some English which was very useful. There was also a late check in procedure which was great as main check in is before 5pm.
- The ambiance, the charming and tranquil location, and without a doubt the helpful staff.
- Breakfast was feast, was amazing. The staff were also fantastic, very friendly. The hotel is located in the middle of the mountains, with all the nature. Total better than i expected.
Cons -
- No fridge, coffee machine or kettle, I think this would make such a difference especially in the premium rooms. The only water cooler is on the ground floor. The Wi-Fi on the top floor wasn’t working, nor did the satellite tv tho this didn’t bother us, we didn’t notify the staff either. We hope this place gets busier, it has the potential to be, as in my opinion it’s a much nicer stay than central Berga, like in other reviews we were the only guests staying at the time so it can feel a little odd to be the only guests in a 9 room hotel.
- There was an issue with water flooding outside the shower. It should have caught in prior routine maintenance. But, we managed to fix it. And it didn’t damp our overall stay.
- There is something very very strange about this place. It was empty! We were the only guests there, actually there was 1 other person for breakfast but just the 2 of us for dinner on. Friday night! You would expect locals even to come for dinner but no.... When we arrived, we got a strange welcome from the waiter who seemed surprised guests were coming eventhough we had specified what time we'd arrive. The receptionist was lovely and trying her best but when we came down at 8pm for a pre-dinner drink (the bar was meant to be open for cocktails between 5.30 and 8.30), the place was deserted and we were locked in!! We had a key but it was very very strange. We eventually noticed people at the pool (large paddling pool if I'm honest) and went to see what they knew only to find they were the staff!! The receptionist, chef and waiter. It was soooo strange. There was a very weird vibe in the place, it looks more like a wedding location than a hotel. And it seemed like there had been a big party a few weeks prior, marquee in the garden, random chairs in the pool area, broken pool toys around the pool, dead flowers on the restaurant tables. It felt like the movie the shining! It felt like they hadn't meant to be open and we were an inconvenience which is sad because the staff are actually good if there were guests! I felt sorry for them.

This hotel is beautiful, it's an old building with a modern extension and just lovely inside. Lovely public seating areas, gorgeous restaurant and great large room. I can't fault the actual building. The food was alsp great, rhe chef clearly knows what they're doing, the duck was rhe best I've ever had. And the receptionist is lovely and trying her best. It must be a very sad place to work in though with no guests!

Superb breakfast, we were sad that the restuarant is only open on Fridays and Saturdays as it would have been as good as breakfast
Would had had to drive a distance for an evening meal
Beautiful surroundings and breakfast of kings
Internet coverage spotty but livable
Beautiful location, charming building and friendly staff. Good restaurant serving lunch evening meals and breakfast.
This was the first time we stayed here and definately not the last. The hotel is surrounded by nature. Lots of activities such as cycling, mountai climbling can be done from the doorstep of the hotel. Also a good rock-climbing area. The rooms are large and comfortabe. Loved the rustic decoration. Most of all, great value for money! We will definately be back.
Hotel style, quiet position
The room aircon didn't work, on a very warm nightReception staff were a little disorganised but helpful
Great stay at a Masia with great views and access to different towns and walking trails. Great restaurant and amazing staff. Would recommend for a short stay!
The room was great but the mattress could be changed to be more comfortable.
The bed, the location, the nature, the place in general
Excellent breakfast with local products! The staff is super friendly, and the facilities are impeccable.
Nice rooms and good view
The service level was unacceptable! Most of the time the reception guy was "busy" (on his phone / drinking beer). Until 9am the hotel was abandoned with no one to speak with...Breakfast was served late, and the dining room still had dirty dishes from the day before...
The whole ambience of the place, from when we arrived to when we left. The communication between the hotel and myself was great, there was an issue, but a solution was sorted so it did not impact on our stay. The breakfast was very good, fresh and plentiful.
Nothing. But as it is a large gravel carpark, for motorcyclists, a paving slab to park the bikes sidestand on, but that is only a minor issue as we all had our own bike pucks.
Nice location in the countryside. Very nice spacious room. Helpful desk assistanr who spoke English. Food good, both dinner and breakfast.
the suite on the top floor is top notch, only thing misstis an aircon but the fan works and lots of windows can be opened.
quiet noisy if the lower floor neighbors walk, talk etc.
Good food
Fabulous restaurant but rooms are beautiful with stone walls. No coffee or tea in room plus no staff at hotel at night. so if you want a cup of tea or coffee you have to drive to Berga.
The place and surrounding
The steps and no AC
Great size rooms with wonderful views.
There was nothing not to like
so clean and friendly service
