This is a unique place to sleep in: you re literally sleeping in a munk´s room in a refurbished monastery...! Highly recommend. The restaurant serves excellent catalan cuisine and the breakfast is nicely varied.

A haven of peace after a long drive. We were later than planned but the staff still gave us a much needed meal. Simple rooms, no fuss, very comfortable beds, enough charging sockets, really relaxing and soothing environment.

The bath was a bit slippery while showering. But excellent shower and safety handles were there

Wow what a fab place with plenty of space in the room to work around our cases on the large table and baggage rack. The bath and shower was great . Very comfortable beds with lovely fresh duvets . Set in peaceful countryside. Really interesting history and well worth a good look around. Functional church still used. English speaking staff very helpful and friendly. The delight was definitely the food, reasonably priced evening meal (three course €17.50) but we thought the breakfast at €15 seemed out of proportion price wise. We didn't have the breakfast but saw a mountain of cheese and cold meats. Easy plentiful free parking and seemingly lots of opportunity to go hiking from the carpark if you have the time and inclination.  Would highly recommend and certainly go back .

    More reasonably priced breakfast options

Nice experience to sleep in and visit the monastery.Big rooms and huge comfortable beds.Shower had strong hot water too.Great value for money.

Unfortunately restaurant was fuly booked so we had to drive 15min to Balaguer for dinner.

Wonderful and calm place to stay. We regret to not have stayed a day longer. The staff is extremely helpful and the place exceptional.I have to add: the room had no air conditioning. We were there in autumn. In plain summer with 45 C it may be a bit hot.

    Absolutely nothing to complain about.

All was excellent except we had a bath and made it difficult. But we managed. Our evening meal was very tasty and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating .

Only no walk in shower, only a bath . It was sunk into the floor so we were able to use it. My husband is disabled.

The place is beautiful. Great place for couples.

We came with a 3 years old, and there is not much to do around with small kids, but that was our fault we didn't check it.

Stunning building. Beautiful scenery. The staff were all incredibly friendly especially the ladies at reception who made a lovely fuss of our children. The food in the restaurant was amazing too.

everything. Staying at a monastery was epic, the value for the room was way too good, the property was beautiful, surrounded by nature, everything was perfect

Requested ice upon our arrival and they didnt have any. The restaurant had already closed but they manaed to get us a small cup with 3 cubes, obviously didnt work to get our beers cool but still appreciate the effort

I have stayed here before, the monstry is set in its own, large and well kept grounds surrounded by rolling hills. Peaceful and relaxed, we'd happily have stayed longer. The restaurant is superb, breakfast excellent

Dinner service was very slow. This is not to criticise the staff who coped admirably with very limited resources, the restaurant comfortable, the food very good

    4DeniaPosted on: 7-6-2024

Location was great, a lot of nature and hikes around. Parking was easy. Very calm environment.

Breakfast was very limited, very meat focused. The room was dirty (toenails on the floor) and the furniture was falling apart. Reception said reservation for dinner wasn't needed, then in the restaurante we are told off for not making a reservation. Two times it was not open even 15 minutes after opening time.

Wonderful atmosphere in the building and grounds, , stayed another night. Meals are fabulous and staff very helpful and have leaflets on walks and bike rides in the area.

A wonderful building with easy access from the main road but in a quiet rural location with plenty of free parking. The electrician, room cleaner and English speaking receptionist were all really friendly and helpful.

Dinner overpriced with undercooked chicken which I had to send back to the kitchen, breakfast had no cereals and a plate of half a dozen different cuts of processed pork which was uncovered and wasteful. The staff aeemed to be unaware of food safety and presentation. We were told the main door would be open until 11pm but at 10pm it was closed so we had to enter by a rear door with a code. Neither of our key cards worked in our room door but there was an emergency number to call at the desk. The manageress answered and was very impatient and irritable, refusing to listen to me and repeating one word in English "Box, box". Eventually I located spare keys in a drawer behind the reception desk. The following day I needed the emergency number again but at 9.30 pm nobody answered despite 3 or 4 attempts. On the first morning the electrician had to come as neither of our bedside lights worked. The curtains were double and very heavy and so we couldn't keep the windows open. Some staff appeared by their behaviour to have had little training in hospitality and the need to make guests feel welcome.
