About
This charming, mountain lodge-style hotel lies on the edge of the beautiful Posets-Maladeta nature park, right in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees mountain chain. Cerler ski resort is 3.7 mi away. Built from wood and stone in the traditional style, the Ciria provides an enchanting setting for your stay among the stunning mountainous scenery. Relax with friends or family beside the roaring fire in the hotel’s vaulted lounge. Meanwhile, in summer, you can enjoy a refreshing drink at the hotel’s own pavement cafe. The hotel is set in the very center of Benasque, on the town’s main street. From here you can easily enjoy a wide variety of mountain activities, ranging from adventure sports to fishing.

Pros +
- The view out the window. Benasque is a beautiful town with a lot of charm
- The staff were very kind and accommodating. We had to change our dates twice before arrival without any problem and then we were allowed a late check-out which was so appreciated (our son was sick and had to stay in bed while we skied). The room and bathroom were spacious and clean and our double bed was comfortable. The free carpark behind the hotel was much appreciated too.
- Lovely hotel in the centre of Benasque. Second time here, last time was in the summer. In February it’s even better, snow, comfortable hotel, wood fire, very good breakfast and friendly staff. Close, 10 minutes drive to Cerler Ski resort. Old building with typical Spanish decor. Love it.
Cons -
- Hotel has no charm, it is run down and staff especially the reception staff refused to smile or be civil with guests. Breakfast was the worst of our holiday and was mainly old cakes
- Our sons found the single beds (in the family room) small and not so comfortable. It was a very windy night and the velux windows were quite drafty, so it affected the quality of their sleep. The breakfast was copious if you have a sweet tooth, but we don't, so we would have appreciated more savoury options.
- Nothing to dislike, we were sad to leave

Easy access to parking and town. Nice rooms with substantial space.
The WiFi was spotty in our room
We were on a motorcycle trip, Great location with private parking. Hotel was very clean and well run.
It was clean and well located. Nice view from balcony.
It is very centrally located. We stayed on Saturday night. It was very loud outside the hotel well into the evening. We could not get into the hotel car park. Only 1 space left when we arrived, and someone else had parked badly overlapping the only available space. Used town car park instead, which was fine.
They were very flexible when I had to change my non-refundable booking at the last moment. I got lots of help from reception: washing clothes, details of a local physiotherapist; recommendation for restaurants; help with local bus services to high mountains; recommendations about shops; a great breakfast; checkout at noon and storage for my bags after checkout. Very nice people!
Other than breakfast I didn’t eat at the property as there are other great restaurants in town for those who want haute cuisine.
Great location
Limited breakfast options, furniture was old and worn.
Comfortable beds. Room clean.
Nervous staff. Inconvenient restaurant hours. 8am breakfast is too late if you want to go hiking early. Lunch finishes at 3:30pm which is ideal to miss it when you come back from hiking mid afternoon. We arrived at 3:15 and the server did not want to have anything to do with us. Then dinner starts at 8:30pm which is way too late to go to bed early after a tiring day and/or you suffer from acid reflux. Breakfast is bad and will not please most North Americans used to a hot breakfast. Except for a mushy lukewarm unfrozen potato tart, It’s all cold stuff. I do not understand the purpose of providing 25 different kinds of sugared cakes, tarts and cookies with cold meat for breakfast but no eggs or hot cereals. People have to wait in line for a single coffee machine that requires 2 minutes and 4 brewing in order to get a decent cup of coffee. I managed to make myself some toasts with white bread. Street with terrasses is noisy in front of the restaurant.
What a brilliant hotel! Centrally located in Benasque with secure parking at the rear. The staff were exceptionally friendly especially the restaurant staff who even tried to teach me Spanish! Food was excellent - proper Spanish mountain food. Portions were very generous and unbelievably good value for money. Something like 29 euros for 3/4 courses, wine and bread. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Nothing - it was practically perfect in every way.
Very good value hotel, lovely to sit outside the hotel for drinks & tapas. Friendly staff (especially Sandra) The breakfast was an amazing choice!
Our room was a little bit small but everything else was perfect!
Excellent breakfast. Dinner was excellent as well. Portions were too large though. Restaurant staff very patient! An English and/or French written menu would be a definitive plus point. QR scan did not work.
I expected fresh towels and bekers everyday considering the price. More hygienic, as well.
The staffs are super nice and patient. They tried their best to meet our requirements: Moving us to a better room once it is available, preparing a full breakfast (not just a picnic) at 5am on our leaving day.... The room is clear and beautiful. Also, we really like the breakfast. We had a very good time during our 5-day stay in the hotel, and will choose this hotel for our next trip in Benasque.
Really nice traditional hotel but with modern bathroom etc. And the breakfast was amazing!
great location, fabulous restaurant, lovely patio bar on the street. the rooms were very comfortable and recently updated. the staff were all very friendly and hospitable.
Location and vale for money is perfect and the staff is really nice and helpful
good location, free parking, beautiful design of hotel and rooms
breakfast is too sweet
Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room and good food - excellent breakfast.
Benasque is at the end of a one-way road and entirely winter sports oriented.
charming hotel, lovely staff, great location in town, comfortable room, private parking and a very good restaurant!!
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to help. Secure parking for the motorbike was appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel.
