Scandic Sunnfjord Hotel & Spa

Free parking was available right outside the hotel.The room was Ok i guess.. the fridge wasn’t working so i couldn’t keep anything in it..The hair dryer barely produced any heat so we couldn’t really rely on it..The breakfast was great! It had everything you need, bread, vegetables, yogurt, cereal, eggs, pancakes, jams, everything, everything was fresh and the staff at the breakfast we’re really nice.There’s a pool too, its free for the hotel visitors.

Well.. the receptionist wasn’t nice to us at all, there was a problem with their computer not showing that my payment went through, i showed her the receipt and confirmation from Booking app as well as the bank app showing the payment had been processed a day before..She insisted that i give her my visa to pay but I’m not stupid and wont pay twice.. long story short, i didn’t have a pleasant experience, but one of the staff there helped me and let me use his phone to call Booking and solved everything.

The room is clean and the breakfast was fantastic!

There was no aircon and we were not able to open the window a bit wider for the cool air to come in. Hence we felt warm during the night.

Watch out for the big and surprise parking charge

Watch out on the parking charge scheme. The hotel advertises they have “free on site parking”, but the private parking company will still charge you like $50 per night as if you were not staying at the hotel. When I contacted the hotel, they said they had nothing to do with the parking. Pretty shady business practice!

Ok for a one night stop along the road.

Check-in is at 4 pm and there is no food or drink available until 6 pm. We tried to walk down the street, but only one real restaurant, Røyst, and it was fully booked. After traveling all day we had to wait 2 hours for something to eat or drink.

The bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Breakfast was good.

There was no ac bc of a circut break. Such a long walk and wierd path to get to our room. The dinner was not good and a lot of flies were flying onto the food. A lot of hot food section was cold. There was nothing in the mini fridge.

No AC in the room even though I have selected a room with AC and staff told me that AC was repaired and will start working but never worked!!!I have upgraded to a suite and the same issue and staff didn’t even help with a fan.The corridors were very dirty as well as elevators with urine smell and food and dust everywhere.No phone in the room to communicate with reception so every time we need something we have to go all the way down and be in line for a question or help making it impossible for emergency calls!!!We were very disappointed and frustrated with this hotel and Booking as we tried to call booking for help and they were not responding!!

Good breakfast buffet but appeared short staffed took a long time to clean tables. Have three bicycles to rent

Staff unfriendly. Only hotel in Norway that asked to fill out a form with email phone number etc. extra charge for using spa.

Shower water pressure, parking included

Air conditioning is ONLY in higher priced rooms, we had to pay for an upgrade because it was 32° in our original room. We got separate beds although we required double, rip-off prices for dinner for average quality(at best), the hotel is poorly maintained. Avoid this place if you need good value for your money

The buffet dinner offered was too expensive. Not worth the money they charged.

Staff was not very helpful, we were also assigned a single room instead of a double (we were able to switch but you had to ask for everything explicitly)

Almost everything, its too good from the comfort of sleep, location and food. Everything just makes it relaxing.

Our room for 4 Adult is rather small but the room layout seems effective.

One certainly has a certain expectation when it comes to a hotel & spa, but seeing the real thing was disappointing.The superior plus room was large enough - with a large bathroom - all quite clean and tidyThe balcony urgently needs renovation - dirty and painting coming off, the view at an industrial side.Run down smelly floors and worn out carpeting - Spa is nothing that deserves this namePeople at a nearby restaurant (Pikant Mat - Og Vinhus, good food) confirmed our findings but told us that the only other place in Forde is even worse...

Very cool reception without any welcoming attitude, breakfast lacks freshness and local food - mostly out of plastic wrappers - the hotel is quite large 249 rooms - but lacks basic skills and needs renovation

The location was perfect for our one night stopover on a long trip north. We had a lovely spacious room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good too

Very comfortable hotel. Good Location - opposite the Contemporary Art Museum, close to shopping centres and at least one excellent restaurant. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Great selection of well prepared and tasty food. The photo of the outside of the hotel does not do justice to it. From the photo, I thought it looked like a shopping mall. Actually, it looks very nice from the outside.

It would have been nice to have a kettle and some cups in the room to make tea and coffee.

Hotel is beginning to look its age, but all facilities are good. Fantastic breakfast and nice indoor pool.

No attendant in pool or gym

The hotel room was clean , comfortable , good location, near the city center .

The room was bit small for three members of a family .
