Menu every day was awesome. Very accommodating with special diet requests. Ethel was excellent in service to us over 12 hours every day. The Chef made quality six course meals. Loved the personal touches. Full body massage in a separate area of the farm was beautiful. My husband fell asleep. Security guided us to our room and the lodge each evening to help us navigate the beautiful foliage and any monkeys that may have surprised us. Tracy is the best hostess. She is passionate about making sure of the five star quality experience. In the end we felt like family. There were two other couples enjoying the accommodations with us. One celebrating their anniversary and we were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. If it weren’t for the 27 hour flight from California it would probably be an annual vacation destination.

Executive suite bathroom faucet needs to be upgraded because difficult to balance hot and cold. Was not able to use private swimming pool because weather didn’t cooperate. Heated pool would be nice. Would have liked more time to tour the grounds macadamian nut trees and avocado trees. Picture of city was added in error.

Warm Welcome by the entire team just made me feel like extending my stay already. The most flexible team that puts their guest needs first. If you want to feel like the first and last guest, Highgrove House is definitely the place to be

The gardens, the suite, the food, the super friendly staff, the service. Memorable stay, can’t wait to be back.

Breakfast was served outside under beautiful trees. Loved sitting outside and the food was excellent.

Superb breakfast out under the gazebo. Spa best treatments in a long time, and dinners really great food. The farm is just magical and it feels like you are in a fantasy world. I would not hesitate to book two or three nights here for a total relax and recovery stay away.

The fact that we had to leave!

Out of this world! Everything at Highgrove is WORLD class! I am so happy we chose this place for our Kruger adventure. Staff is amazing, food is delicious and the atmosphere ... oh my gosh! The owner truly cares about all guests at all times! As for activities there is plenty of options from spa, sauna to swimming pools and other activities on the farm.

Nothing! Everything was great!

Before we reach the hotel, we drive through the avocado and macadamia plantation that belongs to the estate. Upon arrival, Tracey, the owner of Highgrove House, is waiting for us for a warm welcome, refreshing towels and a welcome drink.Tracey passionately talks about the history of the family business and shows us the beautiful gardens and main building. You imagine yourself in a bygone era. We notice that attention to detail will be the guiding principle for our stay here when we receive a tour and are escorted to our suite. Literally everything has been thought of. Over the past few days we have been spoiled culinary and we have really enjoyed the peace and nature. Nothing was too much for the team of Highgrove. We wished we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back!

The service and food were exceptional! Wonderful setting, friendly staff, facilities and rooms were spotlessly clean, beds heavenly comfy. A lovely lovely stay. I can highly recommend this establishment for a quiet getaway to reconnect with friends or family. Did I say the food was exceptional? Not to be missed!

The access road - but that's no fault of Highgrove's. Come on South African roads department - you can do better!

Highgrove is just beautiful . A real escape from it all tropical paradise . Quite unique. Tracy and Jolene are fantastic hosts and made our stay very special . The food is amazing and prepared to a very high standard . We felt looked after and very spoilt . All the staff are wonderful . Recommend booking a massage . It was incredible .

The staff are very friendly

It is very old fashioned, dark and unwelcoming in poor weather. There is no view.

I loved everything about Highgrove. The location was perfect. Their food was out of this world The spa treatments we had exceeded our expectations, and the hospitality was incredible. We had the best time of our lives.

The property was in beautiful stunning surroundings. The rooms were spacious , luxurious , exceptionally clean and is very well loved

Power cuts

Had a fantastic 8 nights staying at Highgrove House, it started when we first arrived as we were greeted by Tracy and Jolene the managers who were waiting for us as we drove down the Jacaranda lined drive. The quality of the room, furnishings was 5 star the bed one of the most comfortable I have slept in. the suite gave total privacy and tranquility.Breakfast served in the gazebo in garden was delicious and the dinner in the evening served in formal dining room an event. Each night a different 6 course menu was produced using home grown and locally sourced produce, Thelma the chef who had been with them for 25yrs had a master touch to producing top quality tasty food.We think the greatest asset to Highgrove House was the staff who made our stay so memorable, thank you to Tracy,Jolene,Danita,Edith and to Douglas and Nathaniel who escorted us back to our room each night after dinner.

The serenity, tranquil setting; beautiful room though not as per photos…The private sonar was an awesome extra The food was so delicious, the 5 course meal is a true speciality 11/ 10????

The picnic spot was not ideal as such picknicked by the pool as an alternative… not so great

the food was delicious, out of this world , the stuff so friendly , bed comfy , the room beautiful & spacious& super clean , everything about the hotel was just five stars

I liked everything

Our stay was perfect!!!! Next time, we will stay longer.It’s such a peaceful and nice location! Super friendly hosts, lovely Appartement, delicious food …Just perfect!

After not returning for just short of 8 years, it was an absolute treat to come back. From the room to the food and everything in between was outstanding. Tracy and Johlene are wonderful hosts and nothing ever was too much. Highgrove House is a truly luxurious break away from the daily routine of life. Overall our stay cound not have been better!

Having to leave after 3 nights.

We had a wonderful stay at Highgrove House! What was a one night stay turned into a wonderful three night stay. We had a cold/flue when we arrived and could not enjoy all as much as we would have liked, but everything was very good, from the actual accommodation, the very friendly and helpful staff, to the breakfasts and dinners. It has an old world charm (do not expect modern) and definitely a place to relax. A nice touch was washing our vehicle before we left.

One can always nitpick and be critical but we had nothing negative at all.

Highgrove House is an amazing place. A true, luxurious working farm with beautiful gardens, walking paths, and rooms. The food was well above anything we expected and the host was just delightful and knowledgeable.

Staying more than one night! That was a mistake. If you book here make sure you stay at least 2 to 5 nights.
