Steynshoop Mountain Lodge (Hotel)

Breakfast was very good and the venue offered total peace and tranquility

The access road requires improvement as sometimes difficult to negotiate in a small saloon car

Big breakfast every morning.Every interaction with the staff has been truly delightful.Your kindness made the lodge feel like paradise for me and my daughter.A big thank you to Mr. Thabo the chef, Mr Pieter and the two ladies working there.I will definitely visit the place again.

@dinner we have fewer option to choose from. They can do better.

The lodge is situated high in the Magaliesberg range providing lovely views of the mountains. Excellent meals provided together with great service. Lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and relax.

The location is awesome except for the roads getting there.The beds are small Staff is friendly.The menu is limited the food was horrible, and over priced, actually got sick after supper..

The food. Was terrible and got sick after supper.No one even tries to help with luggage etcThe roads is bad.Far away from other places that's why the food is so expensive. Would have been great if it was good, don't mine paying for good food. Limited menu.

Exceptional service. Well maintained. Value for money. Clean and neat space. Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended to get away from the city and enjoy the quiet space of nature.

The dinner was great, the view also was awesome. Our Room was great I'll request it again. I enjoyed my stay. Staff were very friendly, compliments to the chef bra T.

The breakfast was great but they could try to have different options like they do with dinner. The pool was a bit dirty didn't enjoy the swim.

There was dust in the rooms and the pool was not clean to the fullest even the rooms were not been clean or changing of the sheets and towels in the morning

The view is beautifull and the pool is awesome. The room is also very nice.

There are unfortunately no options for meals other than what is set for the day. Supper is served a bit late and there are no gaps between the starters,main and desert so you cant really enjoy the meals. I would suggest more meal options and cheaper ones as well.

The towels had a bit of smell even the replacement towels. The pool was not clean at the bottom. Can do with proper cleaning

We really enjoyed the 3 course meal dinner and breakfast chef Thabo really knows his way around the kitchen

The last 7 km to get there is really not that pleasing

What an Awesome Amazing experience, From the moment we arrived.. We were welcomed with warm smiles n hugs, already felt at home at this majestic hotel, The amazing food and Devine breakfast was all prepared by chef Thabo and ladies Lizzy n Lettie were warm n friendly.. Even with the rains heavily pouring down on our roof it was a beautiful sleep in out Glorious room.. Thank u to Everyone that made Francis n Joyce stay at your mountain lodge hotel an absolutely amazing eventful weekend.. Everyone need to get a taste of this breathtaking scenery and home below the beautiful mountains of Magalies burg

The toilet leaked and the floor was wet.

Such good value for money. Excellent service , nice touches, classy, Meals were FANTASTIC. Saw buck, zebra, monkeys, eagles. So much to do at the lodge but yet so peaceful I slept sound and easy.

It is so quiet and peaceful at the lodge with an amazing view and absolutely loved the frogs at the pond nearby croaking through the night. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff was very kind, friendly and helpful at all times.

Maintenance of the garden

The location is fantastic - the views are beautiful and the chef makes lovely home cooked meals.

There should be more attention to detail - clearing dirty glasses and general cleaning. Some things needs upgrading, like patio furniture.

My goodness Chef Thabo is a great cook??all staff is top notch ????Lizzy and the help of Pieter of cause. I would go again and again.Beautiful views ,great pool it is trully tranquility ???

I loved everything

Was extremely peaceful and tranquil and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Bed was not too comfortable for a tall person.

We had such a lovely time at Steynshoop for our work retreat. Peter and Thabo took excellent care of us throughout the stay, and kept us fed on delicious, generous home cooked meals. We had an amazing game drive at a lodge nearby that was recommended by Peter and were thrilled by the presence of game at Steynshoop that we could watch from the Lapa area. Beds were lovely and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing break away.
