Breakfast was wonderful. Keep it up

Maintenance on the premises is not satisfactorily. Our room toilet seat was broken before we checked in. We had to report it before it was replaced. The side lamp was not working. Carpet on the passage was smelling dirt. No fridge on the rooms. Rooms cleaning only happened calling reception.

The location was perfect

Service not good, the air conditioner was not working and th house keeping was done at 10:00PM…not acceptable

Swimming facilities, nice place for family outing with kids and have affordable restaurant

Yooo the waiting by restaurant, the staff is overwhelmed and end up forgetting the have people to attend to. Waited an hour for food

The waterpark

Room service stopped after the 3rd day of my stay. When I got to reception I was given my room key without being showed where my room was and had to wonder the whole hotel with my luggage. When I eventually found my way to my room it was not ready. On the few days my room was cleaned it was not cleaned properly. When the was room service sometimes they would bring water bottles sometimes they wouldn’t. My door did not lock from the outside. The tv only has YouTube

The room was clean. The reception staff were lovely.

The food was not up to standard. Especially the pizza and it the drinks very expensive and very selected.

The lady manager Meg went the extra mile to check that all was okay and that we were comfortable in our rooms.

Lack of toiletries and infrequent change of towels. However I did ask for a changer of towels

The swimming pool area and grass area is lovely . Rooms are quite spacious

Everything else. Waited 1 hour for milkshakes. 2 hours plus for a simple meal. Little to know service. Staff seems uneducated due to bad management. We where a huge group that stayed for the weekend for a rugby tour, the hotel was fully booked but they had one barman working and minimum staff. Towels missing in rooms. Broken keys. One person in our group had paid for the room, but the room had been cancelled. Since august no one contacted him to say they had his payment and his room was not available. Apparantly there is an ownership change and that is why things are so shocking but then they should not charge such high rates. One of the "managers" Adam Gordon was rude and drunk while on duty.Avoid this hotel. If you go for a sports tour, just know its basic and try and plan your own meals

Beds and Breakfast was satisfactory

We had to wait 2 hours for towels in the room.TV and Aircon in room did not workStaff shortage. Sundown Country estate was fully booked.Restaurant service very poor. Had to wait half hour for menu and then two hours for food.Had to ask three times for a cup of coffee. Manager not equipped to handle problems

On arrival at the property at 14h30 the room was not ready for us. We waited an hour and still the room was not ready, with pillow cases, towels, toiletries not available. We left for the Kenny G show and returned later. The shower pressure was vey low and we were unable to have a decent shower and the toilet ran continuously. Brought this to the attention of the Housekeeping Manager who organised a plumber to fix the problem. The next morning to our amazement there was no water at all. The neighbours and others also expressed their frustration. I spoke to Busi, the houseKeeping manager and she explained that they have a problem with the Geyser. By 12hoo (afternoon) the shower had not been repaired and people checking in overheard my conversation with the receptionist and refused to book in thereafter. Busi was at first affable, friendly and approachable. Little did I know that it was a complete ruse. Because of the problem she indicated that I could shower in another room, I refused - I had paid for a service and I refused to use another room. She then agreed to extend my stay for 1 more night. We left the resort and returned later that evening only to be told that we should check out as our extended stay had not been approved by the owner. I lost my temper and insisted that they call Busi for me, to sort the issue out. The once friendly individual turned into a calculating, callous liar who said that she had never promised to extend my stay. and at 10h00 that night when security came to my room and asked me to leave or I will have to be escorted out. I was beyond amazed. The place is old, needs urgent maintenance and upgrading of facilities and staff. Busi needs to be fired as she shows no respect or hospitality for guests. The safe didn work because it needed a battery change. The phone to reception will never visit again and believe me I will spread the news about Sundown Country Estate on all my social media platforms. Disappointed Booking.com patron.

Hot water shower

The room didn't have remote for tv en aircon we requested it since day one till the last day they didn't bring them

The venue is what I expected and has activities aswell..I just wish It communicates after booking by sending an email with the activities they have and costs.

They didn't have chicken breast at he restaurant and the menu is out dated..

Apparently in our bookings breakfast was not included. I was so dissapointed, we had to buy our Breakfast.

I was not aware that we I book via Booking. Com it will not include breakfast otherwise I could have booked straight at Sundown

Location was good

A few years ago breakfast was included and we paid for supper now we got a room only for the price.

The restaurant staff was welcoming

The room cleaning staff had attitudes.The bed was a bit hard not comfy at all

Staff is friendly and their service 10/10

Rooms old school too old school , something is always not working, like the whole place just needs renovation!

The room was cold, the furniture was old and broken. The room was smelling molds. The carpet was very old, the doors as well.

Friendly staff

The place is not well maintained. For example, there tiles are broken on the corridors, the walls are pulling off and the paint is old. The build on its needs some serious renovation
