Bucklands Beach Waterfront Motel

Clean, spacious. Pool was OK (not the nicest ambience, but my daughter enjoyed it). Within walking distance to a couple of nice places to eat. Reasonable price. Parking on site.

Looking a bit tired and in need of updating furnishings etc. Beach is OK but tidal.

Have stayed there plenty of times and enjoy the area, so close a good swimming area. Some good restaurants in the area also.

For a long stay, the small cabins at the back are quite small.

The outside grounds were a bit untidy with cigarette butts and weeds. Furniture could do with an upgrade.

The view and location were amazing, definitely value for your money.

Bathroom could have been bigger for 6 people, the toilet set was lose, and the shower needs to be modernized

Room was too hot. The ceiling fan was noisy when working. No net curtains so couldn’t leave the thick curtain open at night.

Everything...but the bed was very close to the wall...hard to walk past the bed...prefer the chalet at front but it was already booked out ...but still a lucky place...Aircon the best...everything great but distance from bed and other wall...

We stayed for four days at Bucklands Beach Waterfront Motel in an ocean-view one-bedroom apartment with my partner and our two young kids, and overall it was a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. The price was excellent for the location and space.Check-in was smooth and easy, and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. The kids felt settled and relaxed straight away, which made a big difference. At home I rarely slow down or sit still for long, but here I found myself sitting on the deck with a glass of wine for hours, watching the kids run around on the grass in front of the rooms, people walking along the beach, and the changing ocean views. The sunsets were stunning.Overall, it’s a fantastic waterfront location, very family-friendly, great value for money, and a place I’d happily stay at again for a laid-back beach getaway.

When we first walked in, the room did feel a little dated and had a slight motel smell, but as soon as we opened the doors and saw the ocean view just across the road, that all faded away. The outlook was beautiful and instantly calming.The pool was quite cold even in summer, pool towels were a bit hard to find, and the pillows felt a little flat, but these were minor things compared to how peaceful and relaxing the stay was.

Our 2-bedroom beachfront apartment had everything we needed for a quick stay. Spacious enough for a family of 4.Great location - overlooking the water.Great Italian restaurant close by.

Need better pillows - very flat! Pool area and decked flooring near the rooms is very run down. Would look so much more inviting as well as be comfortable for parents supervising their kids, if some sun lounges or other seating as well as some shade - maybe an umbrella - was added to the pool area.

King bed was very comfortable, interior was nicely decorated. Loved the view.

Outside and pool are are looking a bit rundown and shabby.

The challet rooms are very spacious and nice to share with your partner.

It kind of smelt like old people. There was also a white tail spider in my room.

Owner and house keeper are really nice, loved that the chalet had everything we needed, pool was great for the kids, cute chalet with own carport, very relaxing environment

There was a strong musty smell, if cleanliness had more attention to detail, like visible cobwebs in ceilings and door frames, dust on all window sills and even upstairs surrounding bed area and in kitchen cupboards, it would of made our stay more comfortable as asthmatics this was very nerve wracking, also having 1 child with dust allergies

The hotel is across the road from the beach and offers terrific distant views of the Sky Tower. It is walking distance to some lovely restaurants and cafe's. Rooms are kept very clean and there is even a little shopping dispenser in the room for those forgotten items e.g toothpaste. Staff are available but not noticable during our stay. Check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The rooms are spacious and gardens well maintained.

The main thing would be the age of the building and the unusual shape of the rooms. Some upgrading would make the stay better value.
