    Pros +

    • Location, cleanliness, roominess in common area, and the wood stove took the chill off the cabin until in-floor heating warmed the common area (added to the ambiance on a cool, rainy afternoon/evening. Kitchenette seemed well appointed, but we only used the tea kettle and fridge.
    • Comfortable cottage, very well equipped with everything you need, especially if you come with your family. Beautiful views and nature. Very good location for trips to the mountains. Peace and quiet. You can really relax.
    • Very roomy cottage with everything you need, including a washing machine. Even now in summertime equipped with firewood so we enjoyed a merry fire the (chilly) evening we arrived (and the next :-). Stunning environment with a variety of hiking options close-by. The one to Bolsetnipa didn’t work out because the owner of the private access road had closed it. Hike to Oldeskaret recommended, but the toll road up is a tiny little bit scary (steep, narrow gravel road but we made it without 4wheel drive).

    Cons -

    • We had stayed at Oslo and Bergen Thon Hotels, kinda getting accustomed to the thin (3-4 inch) mattress in Norway, and found this cabin’s no different, or any better. However, the duvets and pillows were great, and the linen was fine.
    • Everything was fine. With bad weather perhaps it’s a bit remote but we loved it.
    • Upgrade with the amenities, probably room heater could be a great addition.

Nice little cottage, the kitchen was well equiped, it was a spacious cottage, possibility to charge the car. I was very happy.

The laundry machine didnt work properly. The shower was a bit shabby.

An amazingly well appointed wood cabin with everything you could need to be comfortable. An amazing location with a close walk to a glacier. So cosy and one of the best stays on our whole trip thank you.

Self-catering cabin in the mountains. Great views and plenty of space in the cabin. Very peaceful. Friendly welcome. Great location for mountain walks.

The only thing I would say is a lack of electric plugs in the kitchen area which meant swapping stuff around - microwave, coffee maker, kettle etc. Not ideal.

This was definitely our best stay in Norway. A lovely wooden cabin in a stunning surrounding. It was real quiet there. The cabin had everything we needed and more. It was spacious. We especially loved the floor heating in the living room and the barbecue outside. We used that one night. The beds were really good and it had a washing machine and a dish washer. We also ate at the Stardalen Sommarkafe. Excellent food for that price. The supermarket is only a 15 minute drive to Skei. There are many lovely and challenging walks nearby. We did the one to the Haugabreen glacier and that was tough. You can hire the towels and bed linen. The beds were already made.

very nice and complete cabin in a perfectlocation to visit the glaciers

if you travel with children there is no playground of other facilities, but they did enjoy picking berries.
