    • The tourist station is located in a beautiful area, set in a mountain valley, with a waterfall view. There’s a small cow pasture. The facilities are locates separately from the cabins, but only steps away from them. There is a kitchen in the cabin with some pots and plates, etc. Everything looked new. The linen and towels need to be purchased separately. They were fresh and clean. The beds are bunk beds, 4 per room.

    • The setting n the mountains and beside a rushing stream. Hot tub was amazing.

    Cons -

    • Everything was good. One just has to remember to bring food, as there is nothing to buy either at the tourist station or around it. You have to be able to climb up to a bunk bed.
    • Not having a private bathroom in the cabin,

The hostess, Linda, it’s obvious that she enjoys meeting people and allowing all sorts of questions. We were very fortunate to have a tour of the family home. Hearing about their history and seeing handmade furnishings was special. We were also treated to a photo show that included scenes from the glacier that we would never have seen. The farm sets next to a dream of a waterfall. Not forgetting the cows, they add to the setting. This is a very old place with up to date amenities. We loved it.

The location is excellent - make sure to take the private road down to the lake during sunset for one of the most stunning views we've seen so far.

The location is great. I could enjoy glacier from the hotel and morning walk to the lake.

Kitchen stove was broken somehow :(

This is the most quaint and wonderful accommodation. We couldn’t believe that the view from our cabin was such a beautiful waterfall, two incredible mountains, one of which had a glacier. We were also amazed to learn that we could take a lovely walk to the lake where we could cold water swim, and we were further amazed to see the cows. We also appreciated that the check-out time was not too early, so that we could enjoy our morning coffee in the porch and watch the waterfall! This is a truly amazing and magical place. We hope to return!!!! ?

    We loved everything!!!

This place was a small inn with a long interesting history. The family has owned this property for many years and originally guided mountain climbers up the mountain. Linda checked us in and spent time answering our many questions about the area before we left.. She is very pleasant.

We loved every minute of our stay here. This is a small family owned operation. They have cabins available but we stayed in a room in the main inn with an attached bath. They also have a kitchen available by the cabins if you needed to cook. We did not need to use that. I felt that we had a true Norwegian experience here. (This site automatically gave a sad face that I could not remove. There was nothing that I did not like.)

Such a stunning location. Cabin had phenomenal views of the river and mountains. It is super clean and easy access to clean, private shower and bathroom. We enjoyed several walks to the lake and a morning hot tub. I would recommend more than one night here.

Excellent place with hot tube, I have been here 7 years ago, now toilets and showers have been renovated, here is washing machine for a fee. The cottage has an upgraded fully equipped kitchen.

The host was communicating well. The place was in a nice location and was easy to find. We arrived late, but the host was welcoming. Good spacious place. Has basic things to do your own cooking. They even provided a baby high chair as per our request. I recommend this place.

No quilt/blanket cover was provided, and you need to rent everything. We were carrying our own bed linen, towels but not blanket cover.

The location is gorgeous! Our spacious room was great with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with heated floor. Great view of the lake and a sweet thatched roof building from our bedroom window. There’s a kitchen on the property, which is fully equipped, for our use. A gazebo and picnic table and lovely flowering bush in front of the house made the property feel welcoming. We enjoyed walking down to the lake and, if it had been warm enough, we would’ve rented kayaks and explored it. Linda was very friendly and helpful.

    Nothing!

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and nice. It had everything you needed. It's not luxurious, but it's cozy and has an incredible view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed just one night, but very much enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and the owners were so kind and helpful. Its a quick walk down to the water and the area surrounding it is absolutely beautiful. Would definitely go back!

    10HalimaPosted on: 4-24-2025

The location was absolutely stunning! We got the best view of the fjord and then crazy northern light right from our bed!!?The lady was very friendly and helpful. Must appreciate it to make us feel comfortable.

I wouldn’t say I did not like it as it was mentioned in the booking confirmation…is that if they profile clean bed sheets and covers it would have been great. You can get it with extra charge which I haven’t experienced before. Good that we went there with car all the way from Sweden so we could easily carry our own bed linen. But if it was flight to Norway then it would have been an issue to carry all these as there is limited weight, then we had to pay for it…which I haven’t experienced before or totally new to me. But may be it’s common in that part of Norway since it’s quite remote, not a large city. And it is not so convenient for them to have all these maintenance. Other than that I can’t complain about a single thing as I absolutely loved our stay in such beautiful location and the house was too really nice and cozy. We were two family together and it was just perfect !

Small farm hidden away between steep mountain's at the end of Jølstravatnet. Very quiet location with spectacular views. We had "Hytte superior". Fullt equipped kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and one bathroom. Very comfortable bed.Pets allowed for some extra costs. It is also possible to rent the jacuzzi on site. From the farm it takes 10 minutes to walk to the water, which is also possible to reach by car. Here Lunde got their own shelter, and options for boat hire.Nearby the farm there is one nice hiking trail, but too much snow in april. Probably not safe to walk until June, depending on the snow conditions.Bøyabreen glacier is just a 5 minute drive and offers amazing views and some hiking trails.

Could easily swap to a bigger room on short notice, really friendly people and just a short walk away from the lake. Great views all around.
