Hotel Juelsminde Strand

Room was clean.

I had reserved 2 single beds, when I got there the beds were pushed together, so needed extra bedding for other bed, staff member said could we not wait until the next day, why such a rest, we were 2 people sleeping separately, if course couldn't wait until next day. Staff member eventually got extra. Didn't really see much other staff during our stay. Breakfast did not have much choice for those who would like more than a continental breakfast. There were no places to eat nearby, nothing around the hotel of interest. It was good we hired a car to go to the next towns.

Great breakfast. Great location for touring the area. Clean and quiet. Room was a decent size.

We were looking for a bowl of soup, for a light dinner at the hotel. We ordered the lobster bisque. It was very light, we were expecting a bowl...we got what I would describe as a sample size. Appropriate as part of a 5 course meal but not as a bowl of soup, especially given the cost. We filled up on the rolls which were delicious. (I regret not sharing my concerns with the restaurant at the time.)

We liked the warm and cosy atmosphere.I loved the little touches, with candles flowers etc.It was hygge throughout. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with wide variety of delicious and healthy choices.

It was a very well-kept hotel with a pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast buffet.Unique surroundings, close to the sea, harbour and the forest.

No coffee/tea-making facilities in room. Boring decor.

The bed was extremely comfortable, we both slept so well.The breakfast choices were amazing and catered for lactose and gluten intolerancces.We noted reviews moaning about the TV not tilting away from the wall but in honesty we just moved the pillows against the wall, problem solved.The outside terrace views were stunning, making lovely morning's and evening's memories spent with good food and wine.

good location but tired hotel with both showers broken in the two rooms we had.

We did not really see a member of staff in our one night stay. we arrived after 3 so the reception was closed and keysleft out for us. in the morning at breakfast there were no staff around should we have any problems or requests. the only person we saw was as we checked out.The rooms were tiny even the ‘standard double’ and carpets and chairs were stained. the bedding and towels were clean and the beds comfortable but these were the only plus points. The showers in both our rooms were broken and would not stay up at any height. the bathroom was clean but tired, fan did not work and there was mould in the corners.

The hotel smells awful ......it smells even worse when you walk into your room.The hotel has very old furnishings, smells horrible, the beds are horribly small...my wife and I had to sleep facing sideways , so we could both be on the bed. The room is so small that two people can't get along.Breakfast was ok.

Dinner and breakfast was very good!

You could see on the carpets and the room that it is a hotel which can use some redecoration.

Late in the evening the door was closed and i couldn’t come inside the hotel.

The location is great and breakfast was good. restaurant facilities looked great. staff was sweet. coffee island was nice. we probably had the best room in the whole hotel. other rooms was very small.

the gym was non existent and the whole building looks worn out. pool table and game area was dirty and not in good condition. that ran out of shampoos for the whole hotel and just added extra small soaps (not like you can wash you hair in that !)

There is very little we liked about this hotel, it was run down and in disrepair. The only part that was any good was the view from the room.

There are many things wrong with this hotel. It's rundown and in need of repair, it's dirty, the shower was broken and we asked a number of times to either get it repaired or move room, the staff were very unhelpful. See attached photos for examples. There were no staff or other guests staying on the Sunday and we were literally locked out of the hotel with no way to get back in, they had forgotten to mention to us how to get access and the out of hours number listed on the main outside door was wrong! Oh and the breakfast was poor.

nothing really bad but it could do with some renovation. some chairs are worn. strange that there is not a good partition between the shower and toilet.

Comfy bed, quiet

Small flies in the shower and the sink was not dirty but kind of rusty.

The room was a bit small but that was expected. Breakfast was good. Location is excellent and the hotel is very clean and spacious.

Weird that there's no shower curtain or something, so the whole bathroom gets wet when you shower, including the toilet.

Great location

No wifi which has been a problem for me as I was on business trip. In addition, Booking charged me for rooms before the journey which was not mentioned in the booking
