- The hotel is off the beaten path right in a small, scenic village with the harbor immediately in front of the place. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Since the hotel serves boaters as well, they have pretty much anything one could need-laundry facilities, WIFI, a restaurant/bar, a sauna, kayak rentals (in season), and meeting areas. Our room had a sink, refrigerator, and stove top in it as well as a balcony that overlooked the harbor. They had an outside eating area if desired that had plastic on the sides with blankets to use on the off season. The restaurant had beautiful views of the harbor. As we were travelling off season, the dinner menu offered three main entrees-cod, beef, or a vegetarian selection. I had poached cod for dinner while my son had a vegetarian dinner with root crops. Both were excellent. The breakfast was wonderful with a full selection of meats and cheese, juices, breads, and even 3 types of pickled herring. We reserved the sauna for an hour. Towels were provided. The stairs outside let one immerse oneself into the sea. I truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
- The dinner was really good and the location is beautiful.
- Fridge in room, got something extra for dog, beautiful view, quietness outside, beautiful place
Cons -
- I loved it all, but there are some things another traveler might not. Our room was on the third floor with no elevator available. The bathroom had a shower with a curtain around it, so water got on the floor. A long handled squeegee was provided to take care of this issue. The town is very small and several miles away from even a grocery store.
- We asked to use the sauna but weren't really encouraged to use it by a member of staff who said it wasn't included in our stay and didn't then tell us how we might get to use it. This is a shame as I got lots of emails prior to booking about the sauna. The TV in our room also did not work.
- Would be nice if sauna was included for guests, I didn’t get much info about what is available for leisure by check-in. We got a room in the stairwell and could hear people passing by talking and footsteps on the stairs, the rooms door shook every time someone opened the entrance door.

The views to the harbor are magnigicent if you’re lucky enough to have a room to the front. The uncomplicated and relaxed atmosphere is pleasant, and the breakfast is very good. The restaurant menu choices are small but the food is good and to be recommended. The peaceful setting makes Bjoerholmen Marina a dream destination. This is a very special place and we keep coming back.
No bath mats, so the bathroom is basically splashed or flooded, even with care. Service in the restaurant is friendly but haphazard, as it seems the personnel has neither professional training nor a professional supervisor. On top of that, they seem to be chronically understaffed. Whether it’s a question of recruiting or a financial choice is impossible to discern. With just a few tweaks, this place could really be too-notch, however it’s still “good enough.” I find it expensive for what it offers.
The location and the breakfasts
They forgot to do our room
Incredible room, nice balcony and great views. Can swim nearby. Great restaurant and nice walks nearby.
The hotel is modern and comfortable. Amazing views, idyllic nature atmosphere. The room is big and light with a big balcony . The great place to relax. Professional and very friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast are very high quality and tasty.
The view was amazing. Really good. Parking wasn't difficult either. Staff was friendly. Tv channels included BBC News. The room had balcony with very big glass sliding door.
The toilet seat had some stains on it. Toilet paper had stains on it. The bedsheet had at some places red stains and so did one pillow. The Referigerator was dirty as well. The bathroom and bedroom light was flickering. This is something I would not expect from this hotel. These are simple things that can be and should be paid attention to by the hotel management. I have attached only few photos
The staff weee wonderful, breakfast great and the place was very intimate, great couple of nights
Excellent location. Comfortable room. Pleasant staff. It was great relaxing stay.
No complaints.
Beautiful location! Amazing food in restaurant. Very peaceful.
We had a great room, but the kitchenette didn’t have any kitchen equipment.
Very clean, nice view. Restaurant really good.
The coastline & Swedish summer living, with their red cottages 'stugor' and boats at their best!As a foreigner, that beautiful side of Swedish summer life, with the long days and close to nature living, is often hard to be part of and appreciate. This is a wonderful window into that world...
Great stay
Staff were nice, room was clean & spacious enough with deck/balcony. Nice sea view around the area. Dinner was really good although you dont have any other choices rather than the 1 weekend menu. They had burrata with little salad for appetizer, halibut for main & apple with ice cream for dessert 545kr for 3course but you can order it seperately. Mini breakfast buffet was good as well. Overall we had a great stay there & definitely comeback next time.
Fantastic location down by the sea, the sauna is out of this world beautiful and the owner and staff were incredibly nice. recommended. we will go back, for sure.
possibly the only comments would be that one can hear people walking the stairs and that the bartender, by mistake, charged us for two bottles of wine instead of one. But that can happen to anyone.
Sea view, hospitality, relaxation, additional services, sauna with amazing view
the cleaning in the room was not exceptional
The room and view. The wonderful guy in the bar. Marcel? Amazing guy!!! Better feeling for service than the front desk personnel.
The front desk personnel, I didn't feel welcomed. Didn't get any information about the facilities such as the sauna nor did I get the wifi-password.
This an amazing hotel. Fantastic location and views and Sauna over the sea. The food was simple offering but out of this world. Would love to go back. Staff were delightful.
The weather was bit chilly but everything else was excellent
Location was good, but not as good as advertised. Clean and nice
Staff - teenagers with out proper training or guidance. Reception bad, bar & restaurant total lack of service :(
