Such an interesting place! If you are arriving by car, be prepared to drive through narrow village streets- there is no other way. The location is superb. The entire complex is right on the waterfront, with some parts even built on stilts. And, there is a ferry to Lysekil that departs (almost) right from the hotel.

The breakfast buffet was fabulous - so much choice and great quality. The staff were very attentive and the dinner we had was delicious. There were many nice places to sit outside or in the shade.

I was surprised that the parking and spa cost extra, and would have liked that information given clearly when I booked, so it wasn’t a surprise when I arrived.

No soundproof. 2/3 saunas were not working, but price was charged fully. Very narror bathroom. Can clearly hear neighbours.

I had a very nice stay during a business trip. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the heating was good. The hotel is easy to locate and has a large parking lot for your vehicle with electric car chargers. The restaurant was very good, not offering a wide variety of choices, but great food quality, very tasty dishes and great service. The breakfast was perfect with a lot of options.

The only slightly negative comment from my side would be that the soundproofing wasn't good (I could hear a bit from next door).

The location, the spa and the view are amazing. It was snowing, so we had a truly magical experience. The breakfast is really nice, there's a good variety of food. After breakfast we sat down at the lounge area with the bar and watched the ships go by. Rooms are clean and cozy, there's parking. Absolutely recommend.

Beautiful location. Fab brekkie. Ideal stop for getting ferry to Ljseskil. Would return for sure.(Dressing gowns are so so soft)

The extra payments for sauna/spa the booking made out it was all inclusive! 250Skr per 2 hr session.

The surroundings were amazing! Great food and service in the restaurant. The spa also had great service, was nice and did not feel crowded. Was so nice to be able to take a dip in the sea!

We got room 122. The window was towards a walking path and the reception area, so not much privacy and with the drapes covering the window, I felt pretty confined. This is obviously a personal opinion. The bathroom was very small and lacked space to put your toiletries.

Loved the deck all along the water. Swam in the ocean twice - so convenient!Also, so new and clean - had everything we could want.

The hotel room was very small. No place to put your cell phone while you slept or to have it charged. I had to put the cell phone on the floor next to me while i slept(no bed table). TV was not good and had only 4 basic channels to choose from.The bathroom was very nice and clean but again, no place to put your makeup bag. Had to put that on the floor also while getting ready for bed.

The location was absolutely beautiful! The restaurant was surrounded by windows showing the view over the water, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection of food and beverages. The highlight of the trip was relaxing in the outdoor heated pool. The staff was warm and welcoming. Overall, my stay at Gullmarsstrand was wonderful and I would highly recommend it to others.

The location of the hotell is really nice and the local area is beautiful.

Spa is not included in the room price. It is a pity that there are so many rooms at the hotell without a sea view, when the hotell is so nicely situated - just on the coast. Standard double room reserved via booking.com had no sea view, and was very basically equipped.
