I have read before my stay a number of comments of other guests. I expected something lot lower than what I have found. The location of this hotel is very nice. Close to beaches and the National Park. I have been traveling with a dog and the surrounding area is good for a short walk with the dog in the morning and at night. I liked the breakfast very much. Selection is quite good and breakfast items, which are served warm were warm even shortly before the end of breakfast. A plus was, that I was able to bring my dog. The extra fee was reasonable.

The room was a bit outdated, but totally okay. It would be a lot nicer, if there would be a bit of decoration in the room. Even not a single painting on the walls. Other guests complained, that the breakfast table was not clean, when others had already their breakfast at the table. I experienced the same. It would be so easy to change that. It is not nice to sit down at a table you need to clean yourself and cover some spots with napkins.

Great location, lovely breakfast buffet and we enjoyed using the pool.

The hotel was very nice and accommodating to my late arrival and early departure. They kindly allowed me to have an early breakfast before their usual opening hour. Thank you so much.

Where to start?... I don't really like paying 1,300 dkk for a hotel, but accept it if I'm in Venice, Barcelona, etc.Hanstholm isn't exactly the centre of the universe, but the only hotel in town seems like a free invitation to charge? So, having booked a 4 star hotel in regional Denmark, expectations are somewhat high.Too high it soon turns out: 100 m walk down a long corridor, and last room on the left: on entry it's encouraging to immediately know that we won't be sharing with ants. There are that many bait stations placed in all corners. Hmmm....Kettle... is it too much to ask for a cord long enough to reach the power point? And only one teabag?! Instant coffee? And worst of all: paper cups!!! Really?! Where we come from we are given free milk (real milk), stored in a bar fridge in the room, to have with tea and coffee. Choice of tea, sometimes real coffee, and always, - always proper cups! In hotels and motels. No matter their ratings.Back to Hanstholm: no shampoo in the shower. And staff did their best to locate some when asked, but none could be found. Luckely, we brought our own.This joint seriously needs to lift its game, lower its prices, or get some competition.

Nice Restaurant, very friendly staff, nice swimming Pool and Sauna.

Nothing much to do in Hanstholm itself. Very little choice of places to eat.

Lovely location and easy parking, the EV charging points worked well. Great room (this time I had a bad experience on my last stay here). Nice staff at the front desk. Lovely swimming pool. I've stayed a few times before and this will remain my 'go to' hotel in the area.

Could do with a bit more breakfast wise (pastries etc) and expanding the restaurant menu a bit (small bugs not really a problem)

Good breakfast! Fairly nice and warm inside the room! Spacious room as well as the bathroom! Super nice and convenient to access smoking place, outside!

Old building and it had a specific smell typical to those kind of older constructions... it was not super bad or anything.. just a bit unfortunate I suppose!

old and needed renewal. price and standard did not match. very noisy. could hear neighbors talk, even though they weren’t loud. All doors slams in the hallway. starts 5 am

Hotel is cosy. Swimming pool and Sauna complete the offer. Not exactly new or modern, but it's perfect for relaxing. Highly recommended

Breakfast was a bit poor, but good.

Sauna and indoor swimming pool was nice addition.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times and its a good hotel that I'd love to stay in again. The parking is easy and the location is fantastic I've had and have had some of the best runs of my life around the locality - lots of trails and history. The breakfast is decent and the restaurant serves decent food. The hotel is a bit tired but no so as it should effect the average stay. There is a nice pool and fitness area.

The sound insulation in this hotel isn't great but in previous stays didn't matter too much, on this stay I was given a room right next to the pool which was very noisy and the light from pool coming on constantly all night through the thin curtains meant I got little sleep. I'm sure if it'd been there for longer this could have been sorted but..............

Breakfast

After arriving, we had to wait for about fifteen minutes before someone finally came. No greeting, only a cold dismissal with the breakfast times, after which we've been abandoned right away.After coming to our room... Heating did not work. And was -2 outside. We've been to the reception TWICE and the heaters still weren't working, even after leaving them for hours with differently turned knobs. When we wanted to warm ourselves up, we had to go down to the sauna and wrap ourselves up in the covers.The smell of the hotel and the room was horrendous. That terrible smell of dirty, unwashed carpets was present everywhere, a thorough clean would be very nice.Now, you'd expect glass, or ceramic cups, right? Wrong. Two paper cups. In a 4* hotel, we've been given two paper cups...One thing that's also questionable is the lack of option to choose separated beds. I suppose bringing in variety is way too much work.The "terrace" wasn't a terrace, but a balcony that didn't even have a table.There's NO mini-fridge, and we even paid for the better room. We were keeping the food and drinks cold by putting them on the balcony. ?The toilet paper was put in some plastic box equivalent to a hostel's. We've been to a hostel in Nykøbing Mors that had 1-2* and it had the same toilet paper holder.Even though room cleaning was daily, they barely touched the room, simply making our beds and throwing the trash out. What about a quick sweep, or a bit of vacuum action? When we came back, there were still a few stands of hair, and when we took a closer look, there was a slight mold in between the bathroom tiles.When we asked about the massage service, the man at the reception wrote down a number and gave it to us to call instead of taking care of the reservation themselves. Um, what? The obvious course of action would be to take care of that yourselves, considering that you advertise the massage option as your own...

We had a late arrival and we were lucky , that the staff takes a quick reservation at the restaurant. Thank you !! We had an excellent dinner at Montra Hotel restaurant. Best regards to the staff of the kitchen, whitch is doing a great job.

We were a bit surprised this was a 4-star hotel to be honest (e.g., travelling from Hotel Koldingfjord earlier). The hotel feels both charming with the many Louis Poulsen lamp, as well as outdated in terms of (room) quality. Sound proofing is really poor, for instance. Both sounds from the hallway can be easily heard inside the room, and well as sounds from balconies several rooms down can still be heard. Acoustic measures would definitely help, and I feel are expected at this price point.
