    Pros +

    • We had a memorable stay in Zamek Reszel hotel that will remain with us for life. It was a dream coming true. Rooms were big, comfortable, very clean and stylish. We visited all parts of the castle. Above all staff were extremely kind and friendly and went to great length to help us and I can not express enough gratitude.
    • Zamek Reszel was a great place to stay. While it is not exactly luxurious the facilities were clean and comfortable and the staff very accommodating. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel had an authentic game of thrones vibe and we really enjoyed our stay. Bonus points for the very sweet cat that was around.
    • Great experience staying in the castle for a night. Welcoming staff. You can spend the evening exploring the Castle and village itself. Tasty breakfast and more importantly pet friendly. I would recommend this place and would come back myself:)

    Cons -

    • The restaurant closes at 8pm and museums at 7pm. It would be nice if they would be open for a few hours longer.
    • The beds were a little uncomfortable, but not horrible.
    • We liked everything.

Great and unique experience to spend a night in the tower of a castle. The castle also featured some interesting exhibitions, which are free to see for guests. The staff was also very welcoming.

Wonderful and unique stay in a Zamek. Free walk to see the castle, Great resturant and great staff in the hotel.

The beds were a little uncomfortable, but not horrible.

Perfect place, especially for families with children. Children explored every corner of the castle, played hide-and-seek in the medieval castle, and had many exciting experiences. Excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms, romantic atmosphere, especially in the evening. Really enjoyed it.

    We liked everything.

Free tours dungeon and high tower +light show very good

Great experience to stay in a castle. Staff was super friendly, even if you don't speak the local language. Onsite restaurant was also very convenient with some good dishes. The common area had a gorgeous fireplace, too. I would definitely recommend this place for someone looking to explore this part of the country.

The bed was in a mezzanine, which some people might find difficult to access. This might not be all rooms.

Helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast including good coffee. Good food and wine overall at the restaurant, we also had dinner there. We enjoyed visiting the dubgeon and the tower. Overall great experience staying in a real castle especially for the kids

There was no elevator, so we left our luggage in our car and just brought several necessities with us. Not really a problem, very understandable - it’s an old castle and we were aware that there is no elevator.

It was tremendous fun to stay in a real castle. Everything was authentic from the well in the courtyard to the high tower and the dungeons with their spiral staircases. The staff were also wonderful….nothing was too much trouble! The bar was well stocked and the breakfasts and restaurant food in general were first class. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable.

Though this was not at all a problem for us, the hotel is only suitable for able bodied people due to the lack of lifts and uneven cobble stones. Younger children would need to be carefully supervised, but it would be great fun for older children.

There is something exciting about staying in a castle. The team were welcoming and we thought the food in the restaurant was delicious. The torture chamber is a bit gruesome.

    9JuratėPosted on: 9-16-2024

Room was very cozy and clean.

A bit strange smell in the room.

Perfect stay. Beautiful room with a view. We traveled with our friends and we got all the tower for ourselves. Free parking. Delicious breakfast. Price for what we got exceeded expectations.

Great location, just NW of the lake district and only 30mts from the Wolf's Lair. We stayed in the tower, which had 3 floors. The main courtyard has a little pizza bar, as well as their hotel restaurant and bar. Breakfast had so much variety and everything was very fresh. Take a tour of the torture room and prison area!

Lack of A/C. It got hot at night!

This felt legit like you were staying in a castle in the 1700’s. It was clean and comfortable but had the look and musty castle smell you would expect. Super fun experience!

Everything was spectacular. I have been looking forward to visiting this castle for a long time. Not only did we visit, but we slept here for one night. The whole experience is worth more than 5 stars and we shall definitely return. In comparison with Nidzicy Castle, this is far better and they allow you to explore many areas of the grounds. This is excellent for kids to learn and explore with a few attractions such as pig racing and the horror greenhouse with screaming plants. From an archaeological point of view, this castle has plenty to analyse from the stonework to the Medieval torture apparatus. We found that the people living and working in the town of Resel are very friendly and the staff at the castle are very welcoming. The gentleman host at the reception for hotel room bookings is extremely hospitable and explains everything clearly. The breakfast buffet was full of choice and the food very tasty, not forgetting to mention that the soups we had the day before were also full of flavour. If you are in this region then don't ignore this castle and the people.

I liked that there were things to look at while we were there including the tower and dungeon. There were some nice facilities close by like the park and it is close to the wolf’s lair. I really liked that the property retained the old style look of hard wood furnishings.

A towel rack in the bathroom would be good. The room we stayed in had a small one between the sink and wall which was difficult to use. There was also no power point near the table which enabled us to use the kettle in the room. An extension lead or extra power point would be good.

Location. It’s a real castle in lovely small town. There is a nice restaurant inside the castle and great breakfast included with our room rate.

It was hard to figure out location of hotel and reception on the castle grounds. Would be nice to have clear directions to parking and reception.

    Big family studio, 2 bathrooms

Noise outside because of a concert, no curtains in bedrooms, hectic service in the restaurant, limited choice for breakfast. Greatly overpriced
