The air conditioning was not on so rooms were hot

Our stay at Viva hotel was lovely. They have a great cafe on the ground floor with amazing cakes, coffee and pastries. In the evening it doubles as a bar. Our room was great, clean, nice bathroom, maid service everyday. All fine. The location is perfect, close to a park and a short walk from the main plaza and shopping street. all in all, great value, great location, great service.

Parking expensive €15/day (hidden fine-print on Booking), no laundry service (as was advertised), multiple things broken in room upon arrival (blinds, soap-holder, AC, refrigerator), no extractor fan in bathroom nor did the AC work to remove the humidity, towels noticeably thin and threadbare. When I left early, they were not willing to refund me for even the unused days of parking.

That they had secure underground parking within the hotel. The rooms were very clean & spacious & that the hotel was located in a very nice area across the street from a beautiful little park!

- Proximity to the city center- Just under the hotel there is a good bar and pizza place

- The cost of 15 EUR a day for the parking is absurd considering that it used to be free, as a long term customer I was quite disappointed. Additionally, the parking is old and the entrance is quite tricky requiring some maneuvering to avoid to scratch the car- In the hotel there was a bad small of smoke in the corridors- The breakfast could be improved, before it used to be quite variegated with fresher items. Now you hardly find a few pasties and they are not even so good- The reception could have been more courteous- considering the prince I was expecting more

Clean rooms with good accommodations. Rooms were warm. Parking on the street 1-2 blocks walk. Overall facility was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the best part of the hotel experience. Location on edge of park 1-2 blocks from shopping area.

Staff only spoke Italian. No accommodations for support tourists or language differences. Building is not attractive or impressive in any way. Made no effort to keep our family on the same floor. Bigger issue than the overall uninteresting facility - Avellino as a city is not a very interesting place to visit in comparison to all the other Italian city alternatives. Would not go back.

Poor service, the hotel was being refurbished which was noisy. Their carpark fees were too high.

Quick stopover while traveling, clean and modern room.

A/C in room ran cooler on heat setting. Thermostat issue I suspect, also it varied on/off overnight.

The location, the size of our room, it was very quiet, and offered a great breakfast. The staff in the breakfast room, and the ladies’ responsible for housekeeping were excellent, especially the one who has been with them for 20 years, nothing was ever a problem for her.

The pastries were stale, everything else was great.

The breakfast was very poor. Good choice of cereals but croissants were not worth the calories. Coffee of bad quality. As an hotel with pasticceria attached, I was expecting more. I am sensitive to noise and I could hear the traffic noise during the night.

The room was clean and neat. For a short stay it was ideal. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was great and I found not only the best Pasticceria just outside but there was also a great bio/organic shop nearby.

We were not the first ones for breakfast and the service was well below average. A pity!
