Hotel Löwenstein

Great location, clean rooms, great breakfast. Desk staff very nice and helpful. Kitchen supplied a yummy dinner. Good and plenty.

Bar service was terrible. A language barrier did not help either. Bar tender acted like he was doing us a favor to serve us. Rude and lazy.

The room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. Service was friendly and polite. Breakfast was excellent and fresh. The breakfast room has a superb view. I totally recommend this hotel.

The location is superb: away from the noisy main roads and the centre, but close enough to the woods and the shops. The hotel is kept very clean. The breakfast is good, though a bit more variety would be nice ( every day the same meats and cheeses).

The fact that the shower is in the bath and there is very little space to get into it. An anti-slip mat would be desirable. When one books, there should follow a warning that the rooms are not cleaned until after the third night of stay.The restaurant is rubbish: very expensive and no quality.

Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. Restaurant has good food and cold beers.

Upon arrival, room was clean and according to expectations.

We stayed 4 days / 3 nights and the room did not get cleaned once.Soap and shampoo dispensers were empty.There is no charging point at the hotel to charge your electric car.

Spacious room with nice balcony, good restaurant and good breakfast. Location good when by car/motorbike.

The only downside for me were the pillows; too large (square shaped) and thin/soft.

Excellent location at the edge of town, with nice views. Close to the Eifelsteig. Great breakfast.

Personnel was not extremely friendly nor very helpful. We were for instance told that there would be no place to have lunch on the next leg of the Eifelsteig (southbound towards Daun), whereas several cafes turned out to be open on the route, which hotel staff surely must have known about. We were therefore encouraged to buy a lunch package at 15 euro per person, which was quite expensive given its very meagre contents (two rolls and some juice).

The room was lovely. The bathroom facilities, both bath and shower were amazing. The lady who checked us in was lovely and the lady who served us our meal made every effort to make us feel comfortable. When we first entered the restaurant the stares from the restaurant staff were blatant and it made myself and my partner feel uncomfortable. Please refer to what I didn’t like about the property to fully understand why we felt as we did.

The female who took our dinner reservation made us feel so uncomfortable, I would never stay at that hotel again. My partner has a goatee and 2 piercings beneath his lower lip and I am black and it was quite obvious, even to Stevie Wonder, that she couldn’t interact with us. It was incredibly difficult to remain polite. People such as this female should not be working with the public if she cannot handle someone who is different to her.

Good value for money. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful stuff.

We had a nice bathroom. Spacious and a good shower. Also, it was possible to buy a take away lunch meal. I could choose what I wanted in it. Not too expensive either. In May 2022 for 7,50 euro.

We got room 302. An awful room for 140 euro's per night! There was a kitchen unit on one wall, next to the bed. Why?! It wasn't even functioning and not my idea of a cosy room. Even worse, my husband hit his head on the ceiling if he got out of bed. My husband is only 5 feet, 9 inches (1,75 meters)! The ceiling was sloping from normal height till 1 meter of the ground. And the bed was positioned under it. In the room was no sitting area. Only one seat. And worst of all, it was a dark room because of the small windows. I asked for another room because we stayed there for 4 nights. They wouldn't accomodate us. Said they were fully booked. Strange that until the last day (Saturday) we saw almost no: cars parked, no people at breakfast or dinner, no people on their balconies, in short almost no people at all. They said we should have taken a more expensive room if we wanted a better one. A grumpy manager (or owner?) said no to our request immediately when the nice lady at the reception asked her.
