About
This hotel overlooks a picturesque lake in the Tiefenbach valley, on the edge of Büllingen village. It features wellness facilities including saunas and an indoor swimming pool. Hotel Haus Tiefenbach features rooms with a work desk, mini-bar and TV. Every morning a breakfast buffet is served including croissants, cereals and warm dishes such as bacon and eggs. Guests can enjoy international cuisine prepared with local ingredients when possible and complimented by wines from the cellar. To explore the area, guests can rent bicycles on site. The lake in front of the building is ideal to fish for trout. High Fens-Eifel Nature Park is 3.7 mi from the hotel and the German border is less than 10 minutes away by car.

Pros +
- Fantastic Wellness Facilities, nice Rooms, furnished in a typical traditional German Style. The 4-course dinner of the half-board arrangement was good and tasty. The Breakfast, which was open until 11:00am on Sunday, was very good. The offering of home made products was very much appreciated and added a very personal touch to the experience. Note for our American travellers: as so often in the norther part of Europe, this Hotel has no air-conditioning, which is actually not needed anyway.
- Great location to go at SPA
- Very body and always smiley
Cons -
- During check-in you are requested to select your menu for evening dinner from a list provided. Having done that, the receptionist unfortunately forgot to inform us of the time we where expected for dinner, which led to a curt call at dinner time, making it obvious that we apparently were late. Also, be aware of the Iced Coffee, which, whilst good, caused some consternation concerning the price charged.
- No AC in the room, strong smell in the room (might be industrial cleaning products)
- Two things I didn't like. The first being no a/c in the room, and the second was the check up before handing the room did not check that the hand soap was empty and the safe was not working. But to be fair the staff were great that they fixed it

Very friendly and helpful personnel, tasty dinner at the restaurant, availability of swimming pool and wellness, nature and good air quality outside of the hotel, clean and spacious room (feels very new), close to Monschau and Luxemburg, play area outside the hotel for kids (no fence, so supervision required).
View out of room window was practically a wall (it is actually a steep hill). I wished there was a little more variety in the breakfast offerings.
Lovely rural location with lots of parking. Swimming pool. Large room. Good dinner and breakfast. Principally German speaking.
The owners and staff were amazing. I turned up with my filthy bike and absolutely soaking wet. They were extremely kind and understanding and helped me to dry my clothes and store my bike ready for the next day.
It was all great. The restaurant food was delicious too.
The spa and swimming pool where really good, very modern and well looked after. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Restaurant needs to stay open longer in peak season, they told us it closes at 8.00pm.
Lovely hotel, very spacious room with balcony, bed comfortable. Food was exceptional. The staff are so lovely. In the countryside so you need transport to access. Definitely recommend this hotel and we will be returning
Nothing to dislike about this hotel
Breakfast was good and the location excellent. All the staff were fabulous and helpful.
Room was lovely . Very warm during the night no air conditioning. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and service good.
We stayed here for the F1 weekend. I emailed the hotel prior to our stay regarding transfers to circuit. The hotel emailed back but was not very informative and did not explain there was no public transport to get to main town to access free shuttle bus ( Malmedy). On arrival at hotel although we received taxi numbers , hotel reception was not helpful in information about other services . Hotel was some distance from circuit and with no public transport and limited taxi services caused some stress at the time . We were lucky to get a taxi who accommodated us for the whole weekend from Bulligen to Malmedy ( although very expensive). Hotel was situated too far away and in future would look for somewhere nearer Malmedy where free shuttle service available straight to circuit.
The hotel is in a beautiful location and has easy access to the race track at Spa. The food was excellent, We enjoyed both dinner & breakfast. The rooms were clean and quiet.
The only let down was the bed. The pillows were way too soft and the mattress was uncomfortable. All 4 of us said the same thing the next day. However if we visit Spa again we would stay at this hotel.
Stayed here for the Belgian Grand Prix. Great location 30 minutes from track and on the "right side" as much less traffic than travelling from the north. Excellent dinner on both nights with my seven-year old well catered for too.
The pillows were not good so take your own.
Near cycling Vennbahn; very nice place; good restaurant; nice room
Very clean, very friendly staff, stayed half board and quality of food was very good.Location is ideal for lovely walks, cycles
Bit outdated rooms, bathroom is clean but old and shower not great and tiny
Staff is super nice, very welcoming and warm. The swimming pool has a very nice view to the garden and it’s covered, which is very important in Belgium as the weather change suddenly :) Their restaurant has very nice food, the meat dishes were exceptionally good!
The rooms are facing a road used by trucks to pass to Germany, so in summer you have to keep the windows open (no Aircon) and it can make noisy nights. Also there are no blinds, just thick (not black out) curtains (but this seems to be the Belgian usage)
Spacious room and bathroom, loved the pool, hotel well prepared for COVID times, food quality (dinner) better than Belgian average
pool closes too early and most guests barely respected rules at the pool (of course hotel staff can't be policing all the time but reminders and some enforcement would be good)
Dinner and staff were excellent
