Hotel Kanjon Zrmanje

Liked the modern amenities in the room. High tech controls, excellent lighting, even a towel warmer in bathroom!

The bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the ground. No manning at reception desk for at least 45 minutes that I waited upon first arrival at hotel. Finally, upon asking restaurant staff I was advised that reception was off site doing laundry. Funny, that despite passing me multiple times, no one from the restaurant staff thought to ask me if I needed help or wanted something to eat or drink…. I returned 2 hours later to check in. Staff was found to be aloof, oblivious and dismissive to and not very welcoming. Spa jacuzzi not working, but no action was taken to determine if massage therapist for spa was even available when asked about booking a massage. I was incredibly disappointed and saddened at the lack of hospitality in the hotel and in town. My family roots are from this area and nothing was representative of the generational welcome and warmth I was raised with. As a wold traveler and even as experienced in other areas in Croatia, I would expect a higher minimum at a resort tourist area hotel. I actually checked out a day earlier than planned. I think they would like to be better, as the receptionist asked why I was leaving early, and offered another bed.. but in keeping with the experience, while I was mid sentence- she ignored me to talk with a local who popped into the front door and then turned and answered questions from a waiter from the restaurant, without even offering me an “excuse me” at the interruptions. Overall, I did not feel that guests are important. To end my review on a positive note, the food in the restaurant was excellent!

Was a cozy hotel, clean, nearby (1h) of zadar.

All was good, but there is not much to see/do in obrovac.

Amazing riverside location with comfy rooms, delicious Italian food, and easy access to beaches and nearby attractions by car.

The hotel is clean and in a good location. They had bike storage in the storage area outside. It did not feel as secure as we would like but it worked out. The room was small, the bed was comfortable and had a nice shower.

We were charged twice on our credit card so we need to work to resolve that.

Beautiful new hotel in Obrovac. Great as a starting point for exploring the Zrmanja river and southern Velebit. The room is very clean, and beds comfortable. Great coffee and croissants in the hotel bar.

In the hotel have spa (bubble bath) and gym, we try spa and it’s clean and good? Gym equipment seems new although we didn’t use…good view surrounding

Such a nice and calm place to stay. Even it is a hotel with all services in such a good level, you can feel very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very clean and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and very kind staff. It supposed to be just a stop on our trip, but this place we have to visit again, next time we will have holiday just here. ?

What a great hotel. Staff were great and very friendly. The room was perfect (almost) from the mood lighting to the cosy gown provided for the spa. My only gripe was a drip on the metal roof outside due to very heavy rain. didnt keep me awake though. The sauna was a huge bonus, The jacuzzi baths in the spa werent working properly but were still useable. Evening meal was delicious as was breakfast, the whole experience was superb value. Thank you

The bed was not very comfortable. After a long day of hiking we were looking forward to a dip in the jacuzzi, but one was not filled and the other was dirty and cold. The shower drain clogged in our room after 1 night.

our room which was a suite was huge, the bed comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the river. our children's room, however, which was a twin, room was pretty small.

Only a small issue. The TV didn't have an HDMI port so no way to hook our laptop to it.

Location is convenient. It was a good place to stop for the night while driving from Rovinj/Pula to Split. Breakfast was average. Probably better to grab something from elsewhere if you can manage.

Room and bathroom were very small, especially the bathroom. Felt very cramped.

Disappointing

The room as well as the bathroom were very small and should have been cleaned better. The restaurant staff was completely unheplful about providing information and options regarding food allergies and were almost rude. Their menu included allergen info (as required in all EU countries) but they told us that they weren't valid.

The hotel is located in a beautiful valley on the Zrmanji River and our room overlooked the river below. There was a good variety of food choices for meals and the opportunity to hike up to the castle above and into the canyon along the river. The room was full of modern conveniences like the heated mirror in the bathroom.
